†. 1Cor 15:35 . . Someone will say: How are the dead to be raised up? Yes,
with what sort of body are they coming?

†. 1Cor 15:44 . . It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body.
If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one.

The precise composition of the spiritual body isn't stated. However,
whatever the composition of the body I will have in the next life; I expect it
will be capable of consuming common meats.

†. Luke 22:15-16 . . I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you
before I suffer. For I tell you: I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in
the kingdom of God.

And also capable of imbibing common beverages.

†. Mtt 26:29 . . I tell you: I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now
on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom.

I fully expect to have a glorious body patterned after Christ's glorious body.

†. 1Cor 15:49 . . And just as we have borne the image of the one made of
dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly one.

†. Php 3:20-21 . . As for us, our citizenship exists in the heaven, from which
place also we are eagerly waiting for a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will
refashion our humiliated body to be conformed to his glorious body

Well; if Christ's glorious body will dine upon lamb, and imbibe wine; then
mine will too.

Clearly then; spiritual bodies aren't eo ipso composed of ghostly substances
like thin air, and/or gases and vapors. And no surprise there since the Greek
word translated "spiritual" oftentimes just simply means supernatural-- for
example:

spiritual gifts (Rom 1:11)
spiritual law (Rom 7:14)
spiritual things (Rom 15:27)
spiritual people (1Cor 2:15)
spiritual nourishment (1Cor 10:3)
spiritual water (1Cor 10:4)
spiritual rock (1Cor 10:4)
spiritual body (1Cor 15:44)
spiritual blessings (Eph 1:3)
spiritual music (Eph 5:19)
spiritual wickedness (Eph 6:12)
spiritual understanding (Col 1:9)
spiritual housing (1Pet 2:5)
spiritual sacrifices (1Pet 2:5)

†. 1Cor 15:50 . . Flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom

Does that statement preclude the possibility of a solid kingdom body? No, of
course not. It only rules out the possibility of a kingdom body with the
mortal characteristics of Adam's body; viz: a redux.

†. 1Cor 15:52-53 . .The dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be
changed. For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this
which is mortal must put on immortality.

"this which is" pertains to my current human body. It will still be a human
body in the kingdom; only much, much modified with "put on"
upgrades.

According to Heb 6:1-2, resurrection knowledge is categorized as a
"primary" knowledge; viz: entry-level stuff: elementary school. Yet how
many people today wearing the Christian label even have a clue? Sad.

†. 1Cor 15:34 . . Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not
the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Legion was many spirits all inside one body.
What is your answer to this one? Do we simply ignore it?

Joh_3:8

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Is not God spirit?

Col_1:15

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
1Ti_1:17

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Your point?

Spirit-born people won't get their spiritual bodies till later.

He is.

Homo sapiens were created in both the image of God and the likeness of God. Are
homo sapiens spirits or solids?

There is an abundance of New Testament evidence attesting that the resurrected
Christ is a solid rather than a spirit; and has been seen, and will be seen again, by
people with ordinary human eye sight.

†. Acts 1:11 . .This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in
just the same way as you have watched him go into heaven.

†. Rev 1:7 . . Behold! he's coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him

My point concerning Legion should be obvious. Legion was several spirit beings who were not visible but inhabited a human body.

Now concerning the Christ and God: What part of "invisible" do you not understand. Get a dictionary.

You say spirit born people don't get their spiritual bodies until later. That's totally absurd and right out of Mother Goose.
You quoted this yourself. Don't you know the meaning of the very scriptures you post?

1Cor 15:44 . . It is sown a physical body, it is raised up a spiritual body.
If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual one.

To which I replied: Joh_3:8 . .The wind bloweth where it listeth,
and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it
goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Invisible again. Can't tell from whence it came or to whence it went. Unseen.

Also notice the worn "born" above. It's born that way. That's its true body.

The spiritual body can be materialized when needed and vaporized when not needed. This is the same as when the Lord came as three Lords to visit Abraham. The Lord materialized three bodys to inhabit to fulfill His task and vaporized them when He was finished. All three Lords sat and ate with Abraham. As far as the need to eat and drink it will not be a need at all. If you reread those scriptures that you posted in the OP it doesn't say that they will eat or drink.

When some people read the eighteenth chapter of Genesis they see three
actual human beings; others see three angels as materialized human beings;
others see two angels as materialized human beings and Yhvh as a
materialized human being; while yet others see Yhvh as three materialized
human beings.

That rather curious situation sort of reminds me of the US Supreme Court.
Its panel of nine justices are supposedly experts in Constitutional law, yet they
seldom agree on how best to interpret the law. It appears that the internet's
armchair theologians are no different. Some say that the supernatural body
described in the fifteenth chapter at 1Corinthians is a phantom; others say it's
a solid; others say it's visible; others say it's invisible, yet others say it's able
to shift back and forth from a phantom to a solid and vice versa.

Christ once asked the question: When the Son of Man returns; will he find
faith on the earth? Well; I seriously doubt he'll find faith: instead; what he'll
find is fiction, fantasy, and sophistry; and all of it imperiously pontificated by
armchair theologians infallibly speaking for God ex cathedra.

I don't have anything to contribute to the discussion about 'spirit body vs. spiritual body'. However, I would like to reaffirm the concept of 'spiritual body'.

Is your soul and spirit made of flesh? No, it isn't. The soul and spirit belong to a dimension which is outside of that which is visible and/or 'fleshly'.
Does the human spirit and soul reside in a space inside your physical body? Could we say that the spirit and soul dwell inside your chest or belly or in some other area of your physical self which could be said to be 'vacant'? Or, for instance, at the visible space you see behind your lips when your mouth is opened?
Hardly likely.

So, if your spirit and soul do not dwell in the physical dimension of yourself, where are they to be found?
The answer is: in the kingdom of heaven ... perhaps, better stated as the 'kingdom of the heavens'.
Having said that, we are still confronted with earthly concepts which cannot successfully reveal things unseen.
For instance, the kingdom of heaven should not be imagined as a location. It is to be imagined as an 'atmosphere' or 'climate' ... a dimension.

When imagining the spiritual body, we must again divorce ourselves from earthly ideas.
We often hear it said that man is a being. And we also say that he is a human being.
We also know that man is a spiritual being too. (That something invisible belongs to him).
it is the invisible soul of a man which forms his "being" or "inner being" and it is 'spirit' which surrounds this 'being', Therefore we have the expression: "spirit/spiritual being".
We could even enhance the concept and say that the inner core/being of a man is surrounded in/by spirit.
In a similar manner, the invisible biological systems of a man (eg:DNA and Immune) are surrounded/contained in a physical body.
Even the physical properties of the heart and liver, for example, can be said to be 'hidden' behind a veil of flesh.
We could also say that the 'being' of the spiritual body is 'hidden' behind a veil of spirit.

Imagine for a moment of how you imagine in your mind an angelic being.
The vast majority of people imagine an angel as possessing a personality (being) and also having a heavenly body which surrounds it. These same also imagine the angelic being as having arms and legs and a mouth with which to speak.
With this image of an angelic being in mind, we can begin to grasp something about the heavenly (spiritual) body of a man which can also be said to possess arms, legs and a mouth.

The invisible heavenly/spiritual body of a man consists of his soul (being/personality) which is shrouded by spirit which behaves as the executor of the desire and intent of the being, (legs/arms/mouth),
It could be properly said that the REAL you ... your true being ... originates from out of the invisible dimension of your existence. It is the REAL you which is being simultaneously revealed in this visible dimension in/ through your physical body.

So it becomes true that that which is heavenly exists in the heavens and that which is earthly exists on the earth. Everything invisible forms the invisible world and everything visible forms the visible world.
At the very instant of conception, every man possesses a spiritual body.
At hearing and obeying the Gospel, it is the spiritual body of a man which is resurrected from the kingdom of death and begins to dwell in the kingdom of light; (these two kingdoms constitute realms of the kingdom of heaven).
The physical body returns to 'dust'; remains in this physical dimension.

We must always remember that it's not for nothing that the Bible speaks about a renewed mind. Understanding our spiritual selves and the spiritual environment of our existence is only possible through a renewal of our thinking about such things. "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned", (1Cor 2:14)

You're thinking demons when you should be thinking people. In other words:
you're thinking Legion when you should be thinking Samson because the
ancient Greek word for "spiritual" is ambiguous and doesn't eo ipso indicate
an invisible state.

Where did Samson get his superhuman strength? From his hair? No he got it
from God; viz: Samson's superhuman strength was a spiritual strength
rather than a natural strength.

Now carry that thought with you to the spiritual body outlined in the
fifteenth chapter of first Corinthians and you've got it because everything
about Christ's body is superhuman. For one thing, Samson's body wasn't
immortal; but Christ's body is. Samson's body, had it survived, would have
undergone the aging process; but Christ's body is impervious to aging. Can
you just imagine being forever 21? Well I can; because there was a time
when I was 21, and I liked it not just a lot; but a whole lot.

Dang it! There's still those two scriptures I posted that says "invisible" aren't there. Too bad we can't just throw them away.

The scriptures are fine. It's your interpretations that need to be thrown away.

Scripture In the hands of someone who knows what it actually says is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
But in the hands of someone with your attitude, scripture is no more profitable
for those purposes than a Marvel comic book.

Well, my interpretation of "invisible" is simple. The word "invisible" means something that cannot be seen.
Please give me yours if you claim I am wrong instead of flying off the handle like a spoiled child.
