That deep longing a believer has to know their father is like the adopted child that has a desire to know the real parents. That search happens because the child will feel they can never be who they are until they know the parents. Christian's go through that, scripture calls it "the spirit of adoption."
We are Christian's by birth but like an adopted child we do not start out knowing that birth parent. Adoption has to do with the mind not knowing, just like an adopted child never knew. So to compare the natural with spiritual birth is to compare a natural birth and adoption. In adoption the child knows nothing about the real parents until they search, and do their homework if they want to know something about their natural parents. Christian's search is exactly the same, we are not born again with the knowledge of our birth parent, we must learn our Father, his Son, His Spirit and His ways.
I think what surprise's some people is they discover their father has ways about him. I know some of his ways are past finding out, but not all of his ways, some you learn. He basically will handle his children the same way in where he is taking them in knowledge and understanding. But the way he allows a child to live and come to knowledge in this world is different because they are all different and they will get handled by their understanding most of the time. You ever wonder about the hot water you seem to be in all the time, don't feel to bad you are growing according to your creation, the good, the bad, and the ugly it's all in there. You should make up your own mind and live, you will go through the schoolhouse regardless so believers need to live their life and make mistakes.
So you know what happens we are allowed to stumble around and make alot of mistakes. That is how you learn, you may have to make that mistake many times but it will teach you.
The seed I am never stops looking for the father. The deep yearning to know the Father is in the seed-I am. The seed the makes a sinner saved from hell has in it the deep yearning to know where the seed came from and to know that father.
These simple things is what drives a hungry heart to know and understand their father. He is revealed in scripture just as perfect as he is in fatherhood. People get excited about sports or some event, wait until they meet your father. Nothing will ever compare to knowing your Father and His ways. It is the mind that has to catch up with what you're Father has done in all His glory! His plan is ever at the forefront of all that happens in creation. He has done great things, Hallelujah!
