That is actually--exactly--how God's salvation plan is played out: By each of us standing our ground.
God has said, "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19). And by each of us choosing where in that we stand--we decide our own eternal fate. Simple and brilliant. Freewill for everyone!
Which...I may not have brought up here on Christianity Forum, but it goes on, and is evident, here daily in peoples responses to the Truth. We are building our own house on the sand or on the Rock. And yet it can be confusing, and the enemy is very crafty. Even so, what was to occur during these times--is occurring in spite of our choices.
