Years ago I had these symptoms and was diagnosed with stomach ulcers after having an upper GI done. Was prescribed pepcid and told to avoid greasy and dairy foods.
The pain became so severe I would go to the er...
Finally I went and seen a new doctor. He did a test for H. Pylori Bacteria. It doesn't show any symptoms other than the pain that comes from the peptic ulcers it causes.
The only way.for the doctor to know you have it is to do a specific test for it. Otherwise it can go undetected for years.
I was given a quadruple antibiotic regime taken for 5 days and have never suffered this pain again.
It is very common and usually is contracted at childhood. It can lay dormant for years.
So just an fyi...maybe ask your doctor if he would test for it.
Praying for you.
Thanks for the info. I'm currently feeling too sick to go to the doctors. I just feel like I need rest at the moment. But I'm online with some energy this morning. Drinking lots of water. If it persists for more than a few days then I will force myself to the doctors.

I do like things crunchy, but I reserve judgment on the goodness of locusts.
When I was a child I was known by my family for eating lady bugs off the plants in the neighborhood. I was around 3 years old and didn't know any better. But I can remember just liking the taste. Yuk :)

Thank you.
My wife hardly ever gets sick and when she does it's very mild. But she got clobbered this time.

I got the worst case of sinusitis when our whole household got it back in January. I always go into starvation mode when I get sick. I always recover, for the most part, within 3 days. COVID was no different. My poor wife, though, has had long-haul symptoms ever since.

Covid is a great way to lose 5 pounds...the hard way.

That's what's happening to my wife this time around. I wondered why it wasn't clearing up.

Tell her to hang in there.

I’m one that tries to limit over the counter medications, but I took a few different ones this time; Tylenol, Advil, and some other one and I was still in pain! I even drank some whisky! It was bad. This verse kept echoing in my head:

“Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.” (Proverbs 31:6-7)

I missed that experience, and now it is unlikely that I will be trying it soon. Should I save some... ladybugs that is... for you?

Thanks, nummmers. In all seriousness, I remember finding it fun to eat them when I was 3. But you couldn't get me to try that now. I'm kinda picky what I eat these days. Maybe my meerkats will eat them for me. They're probably less picky.

For the past two to three weeks I've been getting increasingly bad stomach pain and discomfort. Some nausea and eating less because of it.

I'm a little hesitant to see a doctor and am still tired of going to the doctors. I have to see doctors for my cystic fibrosis and schizophrenia. Just tired of going really.
I'm with you on the avoiding Doctors track.

However, I would suggest you see one asap.

Not just a general practice physician but a gastroenterologist. Because the digestive system is their specialty.

Last year my husband had what he thought was stomach and bowel pain that he took for being a bout of heavy gas buildup. Plus, he has ulcers.

Then it got worse rather than passing through as gas would.

After about three weeks of toughing it out one night he decided to go to the ER. The pain was too intense to put the Doctor off anymore.

Good thing he did. They said if he'd have gone to sleep that night like he'd always done, thinking the painkillers would let him sleep, he'd have died.

Turned out he had a pollup in his intestine that had become infected, swollen, and filled with all manner of nastiness.
Had he put off the ER it would have ruptured and killed him.

It was the size of a grapefruit.

There's an old saying. Chronic pain is the body's prayer for help.

Hubby learned there's also a general rule Doctors cite for chronic sudden pain that doesn't stop in 2 days. Hospital.

Because a chronic pain somewhere you've never had it before means something is very wrong. Your body doesn't just start hurting and for days or weeks unless something has happened within.

Get to a doctor ASAP.
Your life is worth the call. If a gastroenterologist can't see you immediately, get to the ER.

Going directly to a specialist in that area where you hurt saves time , in waiting for a HP to give you the inevitable referral to one, and money.

Praying for you. Please update us.

Dear heavenly Father God, I pray for devin553344, that you help and heal him of him feeling stomach pain and discomfort and some nausea and also cystic fibrosis and help him with schizophenia too, in the name of Jesus! Amen!
