Laying down your life means to sacrifice.yourself and dying.

Not killing the enemy.

The idea of metting out death for an attack on yourself or others is old wine. We are not to deal death out. No wars should we fight, no retribution for evil set on us.

This is not for us. But people love their old wine.

I agree with the original post. We fail and fall daily yet as Jesus said unto the apostle Paul ""My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)! Thank God for Jesus and Jesus for the gift of the Holy Spirit given to all believers to enable us to "boast only in the Lord"!
