Rev 2:27 And he shall rule (FUTURE tense verb) them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
After the second coming and after "the end" will the overcomers be given power over the nations, ruling them with a rod of iron. That proves the rod of iron rule over the nations for a thousand years does not even start until Christ has returned and has given overcomers this power to rule over the nations.
Broken to shivers, aka pieces, splinters,
splintered.
Luke 12
[
51] Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
[
52] For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Is there anyone of us here that AGREE with each other for unity in Christ on earth?
Nope, not a one, though many have tried and still do.
From the middle of our homes, to the outward world, all are in disarray.
"I am come....to give....division."
All are "broken to shivers".
Why?
The chief corner "stone" has appeared, and was identified.
1 Cor. 3[11] For other foundation
can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
His next appearance will be
Matt.21[44] And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Have you fallen on Him who is that "stone", and have become altogether "broken" in your "natural man", thereby have received Christ, wherein you have died spiritually, so that He may live His Life in and through you?
Rom.12[
1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
[
2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Edit: we are NOT to conform to this world, in that which appears as evil, as well that which appears to be good, but rather to be conformed to the image of Christ.
Rom.8[
29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Phil.3[
10] That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings,
being made conformable unto his death;
