Unfortunately, the web has become a very dangerous place, it's not what it once used to be. Sites like Craigslist and the socials you linked to, need to be held accountable as well. @marks said that laws are one way to handle this issue but the laws are not protecting our children, and that's where I believe parents have to stand up and put an end to this madness. The laws are protecting the website owners, not the victims.

It was never ours in the first place.

We need to take back the minds of our children. Like you, I don't use Craigslist either but this one time I tried to post an honest ad and I'm flagged, because the minions there prefer their sin than to see someone help them out of it.

These site owners need to be help liable for the crap they allow the public to post, period.

I'm being lead to expose Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist as a serial pornographer for allowing pornographic ads to be shown to the public without even as much as a warning to the user. He should have named it Craigslust instead.

When a child asks me to explain a sexually explicit posting from a sexual miscreant seeking sex, or a transvestite, it's time to act!

I would like to find other Christians that feel lead to take back our online communities, one site at a time. Right now for me, that site is Craigslist.

These sexual ads are mostly in the Community section of the site and at any given time of the day you can find no less than 40 sexually explicit ads per category... WITH imagery!!

I am a web programmer so I have very intimate knowledge on how to do this and be successful at it. I need other Christians to help though.

I want to start by flagging these posts by city so they come down. I am finishing up the development of a website right now that will showcase (blurred) all of Craig Newmark's pornography along with updates on what we've done to mitigate the problem and what we plan to do in the future until he complies with decency.

Our Christian community will FORCE Newmark to take control of the content he allows on his platform.

Is there anyone that wants to do this with me?

Speaking of encouragement, thank you! I'm not sure how to get that ministry off the ground if I'm not allowed to promote it through free sites like Craigslist. If you, or anyone have any ideas, I'm all ears.

We have stop signs to control intersections to prevent people from being hurt, law is a great way to improve societal conditions. Without them you just have anarchy.

Apples and oranges, clearly! Are you remembering that there is a difference between our civil law compared to Covenantal Law from Sinai?

And that the goal of covenantal OT law was the preservation of Israel until the Messiah had come, while the reason for stop signs is to keep my car from getting dented?

Yes, we categorise because it's convenient to justify ourselves yet when it's not we take a different tack.
In principle men resist Law because it condemns them yet at the same time it is the highest form of logic they arrive at.

Grace is foreign, it doesn't compute with a Law orientation.

I wish you well on the thing you seek. I do not use craigslist myself. I heard though that it can be used to buy off others. Which is another reason why i do not use it. Id rather use ebay.

Taking back as in FORCING a regime change?

When will you be gathering up armed peasants to storm their corporate headquarters?

You did understand the Lord never said His followers would forcibly take over the world, right?

He'll be doing that when He returns to establish His Kingdom on earth.

Until then we will not be getting rid of sin or sinful people and in fact sin is growing exponentially.

If this craig list guy is doing something illegal he would have been shut down by now.
