Thanks to Texas Competes for this report. The South-Western State of Texas has been in the news lately and I have been following some of what their state legislature has been proposing which is unfortunately in line with what Indiana and Arkansas tried to pull. Fortunately, there are many conservatives in Texas as well as progressives who know that enacting such egregious laws are more than just being mean-spirited. They can literally devastate the state's economy and bring further division. Since that is the bottom line for all who are in business and otherwise they have formed a group that includes a great many big name businesses that have joined this fine organization that pledges to bring diversity and welcome to the LGBT community in order to remain competitive in business in that state.
