The 144,000I believe the significance of the 144,000 is that they will be the only male Christians alive at the advent of Christ. This conclusion is based on account of the fifth trumpet plague documented in Revelation 9. Revelation 91And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And the only ones with the seal of God in the foreheads are the 144,000.Revelation 71And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Conclusion: The 144,000 will be the only male Christians alive at that time, fore if there were any others, those Christians would also suffer the fifth trumpet plague. In Yehoshua,Guy Smith http://geocities.com/guysmith123/144000

Hello dan p,You stated:1) You say that they are male christians and my bible says that they are in Rev 7:4 , are Jews , so how do you turn them into Christians ? My response: In the end, the 144,000 are seen standing with Christ and being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.Revelation 14 1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. In my book, that qualifies them as Christian. Are you suggesting that the 144,000, or anyone else, can make it to the kingdom having not accepted Christ as the Messiah? You stated: 2) You say that are the only male Christians alive , and of course you have a verse for that to ?My response: Revelation 14: 4These are they which were not defiled with women.....The women are recognized as "the daughters of Zion" Isaiah 4.In Yehoshua,Guy Smith

dan p,You're correct. It doesn't say anywhere that they are Christian. The Bible also doesn't say anywhere where Peter, Paul or any of the apostles are Christian either. So, how do we know if they were Christian?

Yes and No. Christ is the First Fruit. Christians follow the First Fruit. And Christ follows the Father... And Christians follow Christ as it is the only way to the Father.
