The Age of God’s GraceImagine that you are standing on a plain and 15 miles ahead is a mountain. Now imagine that as you look over that mountain you see the top of another mountain behind it.You can see the plain ahead, the top of the first mountain and the top of the second mountain. But you can’t see what is between the first mountain and the second. In the view of dispensational studies, the area between the mountains is Paul’s gospel. It was not seen in the O.T. Nor was it seen in the first 4 books of the N.T.Paul said his gospel was hidden in God and revealed to him by Jesus Christ.Eph 3:8-128 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, NKJVIt can be seen that in Acts 3:21 Peter is proclaiming things made known by the prophets since the world began. --- In contrast, in the book of Romans, 16:25, Paul is proclaiming things kept secret since the world began.Something made known cannot be a secret and something kept secret has not been made known. Notice that Peter proclaimed the crucifixion of Jesus as something for the Jews to repent of (Acts 2) where Paul proclaimed that he gloried in the cross of Christ (Gal 6:11-15). To those that study the scriptures from a dispensational view, Peter and Paul proclaimed two different messages.
RichardBurger, Peter and Paul taught the exact same Gospel. All of the Bible is accurate and is meant to help correct misunderstandings, John 17:17, 2Tim 3:16,17. Peter and Paul were both Jews, both were born under the Mosaic Law Covenant. Jesus was also born a Jew and was also uner the Mosaic Law Covenant. GaL 4:4. The Mosaic Law Covenant ended at the death of Jesus, figuratively nailed to the stake with Jesus, Col 2:13,14. On the night before Jesus death he instituted the New Covenant, which ended, superceded the Mosaic Law Covenant and made it OBSOLETE, Heb 8:5-13. Paul did not become a Christian until after Jesus had died, the Mosaic Law having been put aeway by Jesus' death to, free men from sin and death, Matt 20:28, 1Tim 2:4-6. Anyone who remained under the Mosaic Law Covenant remained under a CURSE, the curse of death because of sin not being forgiven on the basis of Jesus Ransom Sacrifice, Gal 3:10-14, 2Cor 3:5-7. The scriptures tell us that the wages sin pays is death, Rom 6:23. Jesus Ransom Sacrifice covered over these sins if a Christian has faith in Jesus, Gal 2:15,16, Acts 13:38,39. The scripture say that a person under the Law Code MUST obey ALL the Law or he has broken the whole Law, Gal 3:10, James 2:10. The Mosaic Law actually condems a person to death, because on person can obey the Law perfectly, 2Cor 3:5-7, Acts 15:10. Jesus died for us to take away the Law that condemned us to death, Gal 3:13, Rom 7:4-6,. Paul said several times that he was not under the Law, 1Cor 9:20, Rom 6:14,15, Gal 5:18. Paul was a Jew, so if the Mosaic Law Covenant was still in force Paul would have been under it. If you consider what Paul said at Gal 1:11,12,15-17, Eph 3:3-6, you will see that Paul received his knowledge through a revelation, from Jesus, who must have told Paul these sacred secrets, tha no one else knew. Paul knew more about the correct ways of the new Christianity than anyone else. When Peter started to act in an unchristian way,Paul even jumped on him, corrected him,Gal 2:11-14. To sum up. There was no inconsistencies in the teachings of Paul and Peter. They were writing from two perspectives, one under the Mosaic Law, one not, Paul being under the New Covenant.
