The Beast from the Sea, and the Beast from the Earth

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

These two beasts, one from the sea, one from the earth.

I've heard some suggest the sea refers to the gentiles, and the earth to "the land", that is, Israel.

When I read the prophecies in Daniel, and in the Revelation, it seems to me that a "beast" can discribe either or both a ruler and their empire.

The first beast, from the sea, is worshiped. The second beast, from the earth, directs the world to worship the first beast.

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

This passage, I've heard some associate the beast in this verse with the beast from the sea, and the "false prophet" with the beast from the earth,

The beast from the sea will give power to the beast from the earth to work miracles, even making fire come from heaven, to deceive the world to worship the beast from the sea.

As usual, cherry picking the scriptures is not always a good idea.

Before reading Rev 13 with respect to the beasts, we need to read Rev 11:7 and Rev 17:7-18 to get a clearer picture of where this beast resided prior to it being mentioned in Chapters 9and 17: -

Revelation 11:7: - 7 When they, i.e., the two witnesses, finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.​

Revelation 17:7-18: - 7 But the angel said to me, "Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.​

9 "Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. Now, from this we can see that the first beast in 13 is also mentioned in Chapters 9 and 17, where we are told that this beast ascends up out of the bottomless pit which is in the earth, such that the Beast arises initially out of the earth.

The description in Chapter 13 tells us that the beast now rises up out of the sea after first arising up out of the earth from the bottomless pit in Chapter 17.

Now in Chapter 13:11-18 the second beast's description matches the description of the Little Horn in Daniel 7 & 8. The little horn is also a angelic "beast" just like the other angelic beasts of Daniel 7:1-12 who are able to influence the sea, i.e., people, kingdoms, nations and empires to manifest the dominate respective characteristic of the four angelic beasts. The ability of the four facetted beast of Daniel 7:19-25 and Rev 9, 13, 17 & 18 to cause a manifestation of four facetted beast that goes all over the earth to make war against God's saints is where Satan has introduced the accepted lie that the angelic beasts from heaven that are the actual beasts are hidden by the manifestations that rise up out of the sea that actually do their bidding.

Sadly, "Christian" who claim to be able to operate in the power of the Holy Spirit, are not able to see the wood for the forest of lies that shrouds the real beasts described initially in Daniel 7 from our view. Satan has used historical facts of events of people who have chosen to inhabit the respective dominions of the angelic beasts to claim that they are the beasts that scripture describes in the Bible, when the manifestations of the beasts in the sea of humanity are only doing the bidding of the respective beasts. Nothing could be further from the truth; the actual beasts are angels that have rebelled against God with Satan and are working in league with Satan to achieve Satan's dream of becoming a deity like God.

The present "theological understanding" is only hiding the truth from us such that we are not able to see or we are not able to hear the truth of the matter.

By saying, look, I have all your children, they love me. It won't break Jesus. Why? Because, Jesus has His Election. The saints won't bow knee to antichrist. It's good to grow, learn, and know those things as you read carefully, and notice and write down what one may see.

Many of the things of the Bible though, are simply not written to us, but to a people in a time, and in a generation that no longer exist.

I don't believe anyone can know the future. All people can do is guess at best. The past though, there are evidences founded upon reports.

Yes, but a lie wrapped with some truth is still a lie.

I have no problems if you present God's truth, but when you attach a false theological conclusion to that truth like a true preterist, then you are no better than your father, and you know who he is.
