One of the false doctrines of men going around is the error of trying to apply the Daniel 9:27 verse to Lord Jesus' Ministry.

Such an idea as that is blasphemy against Christ Jesus, and is a doctrine of devils. And it is a doctrine designed by the "many antichrists" to get you off track from understanding the last day events about Christ's warning of an "abomination of desolation" IDOL for the end, and the coming pseudo-Messiah that comes first who places that IDOL (the "image of the beast").

Dan 9:25-27
25 Know thou therefore, and take notice:
that from the going forth of the word, to build up Jerusalem again, unto Christ the prince, there shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: and the street shall be built again, and the walls in straitness of times.

If we read that above Daniel 9:25 verse by itself and nothing else, it seems as if it is saying that Messiah will come at the end of "seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks" (total of 69 weeks). That would indeed place Jesus' Ministry into the final 70th week. However, the next verse cancels that idea...

26 And after sixty-two weeks Christ shall be slain: and the people that shall deny him shall not be his. And a people with their leader that shall come, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be waste, and after the end of the war the appointed desolation.

That above is showing that at the end of the 69th week Jesus would "be slain" ("cut off" in the KJV). So that is emphatically revealing that the events after His being slain are NOT BY HIM.

Yet those pushing the false devil's doctrine that Jesus' Ministry went into the 70th week ALSO blaspheme Him because notice the above parts in 'green'. That was about the Roman general Titus and his army that took Jerusalem and destroyed the city and the temple in 70 A.D.

Lord Jesus had been crucified long... before that event! This is how this works, IF... one is going to say the 70th week events involve Christ's Ministry, then they MUST ALSO INCLUDE these events above in green. And that is gross error to do that too.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fall: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end.
Douay-Rheims

I really didn't know Lord Jesus was such an evil Person. He is not, but that's what the deceived who follow devils are preaching by saying those events of the 70th week above were done by Lord Jesus!

How in the world can ANY true Christian claim that Jesus places that "abomination of desolation" which is about the placing of an IDOL abomination inside the temple in Jerusalem? Yet one of the devil's workers wouldn't have a problem claiming that at all.

Those events of that final "one week", the 70th, are for the very end of this world, and are done by the coming Antichrist.

2 Peter 2:18-19
For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”

Wow
Give people enough rope and they will surely hang themselves.
unbelievable
There is no blasphemy which exceeds that of striving to overturn 17 centuries of settled united Christian orthodoxy that Christ is the theme of Daniel 9; with the abomination of degradation and desecration which contorts Christ into antichrist.

It is beyond vile.

Are you sure you know what you've just said?

Your statement above ACTUALLY AGREES with what I have shown from the Daniel 9 Scripture.

The traditional Christian doctrine about Daniel 9:25-26 is about Jesus Christ, except the part about the 'commander' who comes to destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary (temple), which was the Roman general Titus, a type for the Antichrist. That part ain't... about Jesus The Messiah.

And the Daniel 9:27 verse also is NOT TRADITIONALLY understood to be pointing to Jesus Christ either!

There it is brethren:
The last days we were warned about REVISIONISTS that would try to change The Word of God. And claiming that Daniel 9:27 is about Lord Jesus is certainly revisionism directly from the devil.

As ypu have done with the blasphemous doctrine about the Daniel 9 verses you are pushing against Jesus Christ.
Not so.
I have given Jesus all the glory regarding v25 and our wonderful atonement. You have him cut off before he accomplishes this.

The Daniel 9:27 of the 70th week is NOT about Jesus Christ, thus your false doctrine that Jesus fulfilled the 70th week falls to the ground, where it belongs.

Moreover, trying to place Lord Jesus in the 70th week events of Daniel 9:27 would mean Jesus Himself setup an IDOL ABOMINATION IN THE JERUSALEM TEMPLE DURING HIS MINISTRY! That's how ludicrous your doctrine is.

So Lord Jesus placed an IDOL in the Jerusalem temple during His Ministry??

Dan 9:27
27 The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds,
he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him."

There's no "except" and no "Titus" and no "Antichrist". That is modernist dispensational futurism fallacy unknown before the 19th century.

Messiah was in command and control of the Roman armies (and the Jews) who were His instruments of judgment and destruction.
And the Daniel 9:27 verse also is NOT TRADITIONALLY understood to be pointing to Jesus Christ either!
It is all about Messiah, and nothing about an hallucinatory antichrist!!

Why not quote an historical version which repudiates modernist dispensational speculative fantasies and impositions?

Daniel 9:27 KJV
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Messiah was He who confirmed the covenant with many. (Matthew 26:28)
Messiah was He who caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease at Calvary. (Hebrews 10:17-18)
Messiah was He who made it desolate via the desolating Roman armies (Luke 21:20; Matthew 24:15) until it was completely consumed.

Every "he" in verse 27 refers back Scripturally, historically, and grammatically to Messiah the Prince in verse 25.

So you do... believe Lord Jesus setup an IDOL abomination in the temple??

There's no way around it, IF... one believes the Daniel 9:27 verse events were history about Christ's Ministry, then that is to say that Lord Jesus setup an IDOL ABOMINATION inside the temple in Jerusalem. That's obviously an idea created by 'false Jews' of the "synagogue of Satan" (Rev.2:9; Rev.3:9).

Why do you continue to quote the NLT? There is no hint of an idol in Daniel 9:27 KJV. That is a false modernist figment of dispensational futurism.

The abomination of desolation was the Roman armies. The holy place was the holy city of Jerusalem. When the believers saw the Romans armies advancing on Jerusalem, they were to flee, as Jesus had warned. History records that they did. (Daniel 9:27; Luke 21:20-21; Matthew 24:15-16).

Messiah was He who made Jerusalem desolate via the Roman armies until it was completely consumed, "until the consummation".

Dan 9:27 has nothing to do with the 70th week. 70 weeks are about atonement and redemption....look,

24 “Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] have been decreed for your people and for your holy city (Jerusalem),

to finish the transgression,
to make an end of sins,
to make atonement (reconciliation) for wickedness,
to bring in everlasting righteousness (right-standing with God),
to seal up vision and prophecy and prophet, and
to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Stop making ludicrous things up.

You do not understand the text because your paradigm does not allow it, therefore you draw poor conclusions.

The Daniel 9:27 verse DOES HAVE EVERYTHING TO DO WITH the Daniel 9 seventy weeks prophecy. That because it prevents the fulfillment of those very things you posted above! Why? Because the Daniel 9:27 verse is covering the events of Daniel 11 that the "vile person" as the Antichrist will work in Jerusalem for the very end of this world.

Just because Lord Jesus forewarned about an IDOL "abomination of desolation" He quoted from the Book of Daniel, MOVES... that Daniel 11:31 event of the placing of the "abomination that maketh desolate" AT the very END of this world, immediately prior to His future coming. And that abomination idol event in a temple in Jerusalem that Jesus warned about for the END is 'specifically'... what that Daniel 9:27 verse is about!

 Nothing could have prevented Jesus from being victorious and accomplishing all he was sent to do.

Jn 17
17 When Jesus had spoken these things, He raised His eyes to heaven [in prayer] and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify You. 2 Just as You have given Him power and authority over all mankind, [now glorify Him] so that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him [to be His—permanently and forever]. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You [down here] on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do. 5 Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory and majesty that I had with You before the world existed.

His shed blood fulfills all those points in v25

Heb 9
11 But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation. 12 He went once for all into the Holy Place [the Holy of Holies of heaven, into the presence of God], and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, having obtained and secured eternal redemption [that is, the salvation of all who personally believe in Him as Savior].

15 For this reason He is the Mediator and Negotiator of a new covenant [that is, an entirely new agreement uniting God and man], so that those who have been called [by God] may receive [the fulfillment of] the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has taken place [as the payment] which redeems them from the sins committed under the obsolete first covenant.

24 For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but [He entered] into heaven itself, now to appear in the very presence of God on our behalf; 25 nor did He [enter into the heavenly sanctuary to] offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer over and over since the foundation of the world; but now once for all at the consummation of the ages He has appeared and been publicly manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this [comes certain] judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him.

Nah... you CANNOT USE LORD JESUS' DEATH AND RESURRECTION to try and prove your point, because WHY?

BECAUSE... the orthodox Jews STILL REJECT JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR TODAY!!! And the Daniel 9 seventy weeks prophecy is SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THE JEWS AND JERUSALEM!

How could you NOT know that? You must really like those preachers you heed that preach falseness about the Daniel Scripture.

The events that you have colored in green were not completed by Titus. The people of the prince that shall come to destroy the city and the sanctuary are a future event and the Temple that is destroyed will be the third temple. It is that time when there will not be one stone upon another.
