Scripture teaches that our bodies are a temple:
1 Corinthians 3:16 - "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"
The temple is an earthly copy of the Heavenly:
Hebrews 8:5 - "Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount."
By comparing the earthly to the Heavenly, we can gain a better understanding of just how the Heavens and Earth act as witnesses who agree with one other:
Heaven:
1 John 5:7 - "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
Earth:
1 John 5:8 - "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."
- The Heavenly Father and the Earthly Water agree
- The Heavenly Word and the Earthly Blood agree
- The Heavenly Holy Ghost and Earthly Spirit agree
The Trinity is such a profound concept! Body/Soul/Spirit is there as well.
The curtain was symbolic of the flesh of Jesus:
Hebrews 10:20 - "By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;"
Because God wishes for mankind to understand how to minister to the heavenly body, he instructed the Israelites on how to accomplish this using an earthly facsimile. They were 'chosen' for this very purpose.
Therefore, God modeled the Tabernacle in the Wilderness after a biological cell:

This is not conjecture. This is precisely what the meaning is. Much has been discovered in the last few decades. Christians are barely catching up now. Sadly, many are still blind and may never see.
