What an arrogant fool you have become. First, you say you can see the logic in what Marty said, but you disagree. So, in light of that, it seems like you'd be willing to just agree to disagree with him respectfully. But, no. You have to follow that up by saying "But let's just make nonsense out of Zechariah 14 throughout instead". Get off your high horse! Repent of your arrogance!
A speed Limit sign is clearly posted on a Freeway. A driver on the Freeway clearly sees the warning. But then thinks to himself..hmm..I don't see any cops around anywhere, so I think I will just go whatever speed I want to.
On the surface I can see the logic in this yet I disagree that it's a good idea based on the following reason, for one. For all this driver knows, there could be a blind spot up ahead where a police officer has pulled over on the side of the road and is pointing a radar gun in this driver's direction. What an arrogant fool I have become. First I admit I can see the logic in this, but when looking at it on a deeper level I then have to disgree that this is a good ideal. And I already explained one reason why.
But if I do something similar with Zechariah 14 and someone's proposal, where, on the surface, I can see the logic in what they are propsing, but when looking at the chapter deeper, the fact it begins with the DOTL, I have to disagree.
In my case you are conflating something that sounds logical on the surface with that of something that doesn't hold up when looking at things deeper. For one, I was replying to rwb not Marty in post #970. But that aside, verse 1 has zero to do with the first advent and first century, period. Or should we propose, post the birth of Christ, the NT knows of several DOTL that occur at different times, rather than only one DOTL?
BTW, you clearly called me a fool, totally disregarding what Jesus warned about in Matthew 5:22---but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. But you don't care, apparently. You will likely preface this part with a LOL. Be sure to tell me I need to grow up as well. Don't want you to leave that out.
The folowing is currently you, that which you project on me--you exalt yourself, yet Jesus said that those that exalt themselves shall be humbled. Your day is coming. You see yourself being smarter than me, being better than me, and that if anyone is wrong concerning any of these debates, it is never you, it is me every single time. That per your perspective.
Except your perspective doesn't always match reality. I'm not saying it never does. I'm saying that sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't match reality if everything we disagree about, you are the one correct every time. I'm never correct, ever. That clearly does not match reality.
