We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!
What you need to keep in mind is that most of those that have gotten their act together and figured it all out, started off in those churches or social clubs. They do help in getting people to read their bibles and grow. The coming persecutions will help growth along quite a bit.I just hate to see people fall in with the ecumenical movement and call it revival just because they see people becoming religious.
Many who say they believe in God... it's meaningless because they have not been born again and the ones they did get born again are being taught false doctrine.
I definitely agree with what you are saying. And with sites like this one absolutely must ask God for wisdom and discernment, never taking anything at face value and always comparing to scripture. How many have you met here, ourselves included, that are even as you descibe........
"A person who is truly passionate about God is eager to learn from scripture and to compare and examine interpretations from others, for their desire is to know how to be pleasing the Lord and how to serve Him better."
Everyone of us claims this, yet we find there are those whom hold to false doctrines of men, ( I refrain from naming them) claiming this doctrine interpretation is WHAT GOD MEANS, instead of SIMPLY ...WHAT GOD HAS SAID !

I would say a person who is truly passionate about God will be in constant prayer, as Paul taught us (1 Thessalonians 5:17), listening to what God has to say, and discussing things with him.
We have all noticed this. A lot of the posts are deliberately promoting contradictions to the scriptures. Normalizing the false in incremental steps. This is not by accident. The objective is to normalize doctrines that are contrary to what Jesus and the original disciples taught. The battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan is often fought right in the church itself. Satan already controls the world so they take the fight into the church so as to corrupt the saints and render them powerless.
This is something that we need to guard against at all times. Remember that witches and necromancers will engage in forums like this just so as to create confusion.
and soon he will control this forum, too.
That's the theological definition of religion vs a secular definition. That is the first time I've seen "religion" defined that way.
What I have seen is that, instead, people subject themselves to the will of their denomination. That's the theological definition of religion vs a secular definition.
But we have Christ's promise that the gates of hell will not prevail, and thus the Church carries on.
That doesn't mean it's not possible for a Christian to fall away due to false doctrine and end up going to hell.
God's Word contains warnings about false teachers and false doctrines in the last days and people departing from the faith.
Hebrews 2:1
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
