The dangers of religiosity.

Most people come to Christian forums because they are Christian and want to fellowship with other Christians, There is also the trolls but they expose themselves soon enough. On these forums in general there are Christians at all different stages of development and denominational backgrounds.

Now for those there is nothing nicer than to be able to discuss and look into different aspects of the Bible and Teaching of the scripture, When everyone adds their bit and understanding and then hold up to scrutiny, the potential for growth is huge and very beneficial. But when the self righteous jack asses come out with their God-sticks and start to beat the daylights out of those who do not agree with their specific theology then all that results is a lot of beaten bleeding saints left in the wake of the path of destruction. Next thing you know groups are gathering in just us clubs to gang up on others so as to get them banned as in excommunicated.

Yes there are going to be controversial issues like the gays etc. Take your stand, state your case, provide your scriptural proofs and just leave it out there. Those that follow can see what is said and can make up their own minds. That which is wrong will become self evident and no amount of justifications will prevail. The anger and religiosity does not need to be the result even if there is provocation pushed. Just let the scripture speak for itself. If people just think before pulling out the god-sticks then this place can be a place of learning and growth with out it developing into a slaughter house like so many other forums have degenerated into.

Not at all. I'll throw this out there, though:
A person who is truly passionate about God is eager to learn from scripture and to compare and examine interpretations from others, for their desire is to know how to be pleasing the Lord and how to serve Him better.

I would say a person who is truly passionate about God will be in constant prayer, as Paul taught us (1 Thessalonians 5:17), listening to what God has to say, and discussing things with him.

I totally agree, however we have those " controversial" topics that the antagonist thrive on and the cycle continues.....

Everyone of us claims this, yet we find there are those whom hold to false doctrines of men, ( I refrain from naming them) claiming this doctrine interpretation is WHAT GOD MEANS, instead of SIMPLY ...WHAT GOD HAS SAID !

We have all noticed this. A lot of the posts are deliberately promoting contradictions to the scriptures. Normalizing the false in incremental steps. This is not by accident. The objective is to normalize doctrines that are contrary to what Jesus and the original disciples taught. The battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan is often fought right in the church itself. Satan already controls the world so they take the fight into the church so as to corrupt the saints and render them powerless. That way the saints loose the authority to have an influence on the world in general. This is something that we need to guard against at all times. Remember that witches and necromancers will engage in forums like this just so as to create confusion.

How you deal with this is the same way Paul delt with it in the book of acts.

Act 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
Act 16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
Act 16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

You don't go banning etc, you bind the empowering and motivating demonic influence working through the person and they soon start to loose their way when not being told what to do or say.

To give an example; How many of you remember the old Revival school forum that was very big back in the day. They had a moderator there by the name of Lynn. Claimed to be a prophetess but wasn't. She was operating under the influence of a familier spirit and over time she left a trail of banned, bleeding and broken saints in a swath of destruction.

Well once we grasped what was happening we bound that deluding spirit and she eventually ended up demanding that we need to forgive her because it had effected her walk with the Lord. Forgiveness had nothing to do with it. But for the rest of the saints we now had peace from her.

The fact of the matter is, you cannot usurp authority over the free will of another human being and FORCE them to quit giving place to the devil if they don't want to and the Lord has turned them over to a reprobate mind.

We can kick the devil out of our own lives and gain much freedom, but "making" others act the way you want involves over riding their free will which is witchcraft.

God Himself is not over riding people's free will which is why so many people go to hell.

You have basically answered your own question.

The nation is coming under judgment. Looking back over the old testament all the nations that started to sacrifice their own children ended up under judgment and passed into history. The prayers that are answered are those that line up in the general direction that God is moving in. Yes I have looked at one or two politicians that were over the top. For example there was Hilary Clinton. We bound her and her entire coven. She took a bit of a nose dive after that. Her will was not over ridden but with her coven dis-empowered she lost her backing bringing about her fall from the top.

God is not going to stop those that choose to turn their back on him, but what does provoke a response from God is when those that hate God attempt to stop those that want to come to him from doing so. The communists in Russia that formed the USSR were free to do so, but when they started to ban the Bible and close down the churches they started to suffer crop failure after crop failure along with other disasters. Russia now has opened and supported all its churches and they no longer have a crop failure problem. The difference is very blatant and in your face, if you care to look.

And very, very few of their churches aren't teaching false doctrine.

Like here in the US, the vast majority of churches teach a different jesus and a different gospel... and those following that different jesus and different gospel are the reason the US is under God's judgement

The point I was making earlier is there are preachers in the US that teach that this nation and the world is about to have massive revival resulting in the majority of the world getting born again.

That's not what God's Word teaches concerning end times events... the revival we will see is people not accepting sound doctrine anymore and heaping to themselves false teachers who will lead them straight in to the coming one world religion which is definitely not leading anybody to the Lord Jesus Christ.

So in the end we are not going to be able to bind satan from bringing forth the anti-christ and stop him from coming to power. God is not mocked, what man sows is what he reaps... and since the majority of the world rejects Jesus, the Lord is going to let them have the devil!

You got it right, As it says in the book of Daniel, the saints will be worn down. The son of perdition will rise to power .

Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

We cannot stop the general flow of events because this age has to come to an end at some point. This needs to happen so that the next age can begin as in the millennial reign.

I just hate to see people fall in with the ecumenical movement and call it revival just because they see people becoming religious.

Many who say they believe in God... it's meaningless because they have not been born again and the ones they did get born again are being taught false doctrine.
