The Darkness in the beginning.
Gen 1:1 In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth,
Gen 1:2 and the earth was formless and void, and darkness [was] on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God [was] fluttering on the face of the waters,
Gen 1:3 and God says, “Let light be”; and light is.
Gen 1:4 And God sees that the light [is] good, and God separates between the light and the darkness,
Gen 1:5 and God calls the light “Day,” and the darkness He has called “Night”; and there is an evening, and there is a morning—[the] first day.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was formless and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God [was] fluttering on the face of the waters.
God in the beginning had created, first you can see the earth was formless and did, and darkness was on the face of the deep, : This darkness, that God could see as it was on the face of the deep, as the Spirit of God was fluttering on the face of the waters. Is the word: kho-shek'
From H2821; the dark; hence (literally) darkness; figuratively misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness: - dark (-ness), night, obscurity.
God in the beginning, who created the heaven and earth, while the earth was formless and void, could see the darkness. The Misery, Destruction, Death, Ignorance, Sorrow, Wickedness, Obscurity that the darkness caused. I believe this very same darkness is what caused Satan to fall, and I believe this very same darkness, can be founded too with-in ourselves from Adam and Eve having made their own decisions to disobey God, by not obeying the commandments.
With God seeing this darkness, that causes loss, and destruction - to the soul (Mind/will/emotion/heart). God says - Let light be; and light is. The word for light in Hebrew is : ore
From H215; illumination or (concretely) luminary (in every sense, including lightning, happiness, etc.): - bright, clear, + day, light (-ning), morning, sun.
Therefore you can see that God desires to help by allowing the light to shine forth, in which brings forth illumination, things are bright and clear, there is light, and happiness; peace; joy; love. You are able to see, where the darkness can cause misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness and obscruity.
God sees that the light is good.
God separates the light from the darkness.
Separate: bene
A primitive root; to separate mentally (or distinguish), that is, (generally) understand: - attend, consider, be cunning, diligently, direct, discern, eloquent, feel, inform, instruct, have intelligence, know, look well to, mark, perceive, be prudent, regard, (can) skill (-ful), teach, think, (cause, make to, get, give, have) understand (-ing), view, (deal) wise (-ly, man).
God did not desire for the light and darkness to mix, therefore God had separated them in to their own order. One light, and one darkness. God called the Light day, and the darkness He called Night.
