I don't really understand this story. Could somebody please explain it for me please?:
It would help if you gave us the biblical reference. Lots of places fig trees are mentioned!
I would have to find the scripture again but it was something about Jesus saying that the fig tree doesn't grow good fruit anymore or something. :/

I never understood this either. I don't have the Bible in front of me but Jesus comes across a fig tree. It didn't produce fruit so he touched it and it withered and died I think. I would also like to hear some members explanation of this.

Just because people look good does not qualify them as having fruit.I don't really understand this story. Could somebody please explain it for me please?

Like the fig tree, the nation of Israel has a deceptive appearance. The people of this nation are in a covenant relationship with God, and they might outwardly appear to observe his Law. However, the nation as a whole has proved to be both lacking faith and barren of good fruitage. They even reject God’s own Son! Hence, by causing the unproductive fig tree to wither, Jesus demonstrates what the end will be for this fruitless, faithless nation.
Jesus went on to explain that faith was a needed quality among his followers, strong faith. So we believe it was a lesson given to show them the importance of having a strong faith in God. Living that faith as well.
