Yes this is mans greatest enemy beside the devil himself.

Eph_6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

And yet it is the mist fought after territory, he that controls teh fllesh control the mind. Go read soem of teh posts here, can yo usee where the flesh comes in, its teh place the enemy loves to get us, its where we loose our minds and the flesh takes over, its wher the reasonable discussion gets into angry and biiter, ats teh time when one must stop and walk away. That place is where teh enemy wants you to stay, its where all your reasoning gets unreasonable, its where the logic ghets twisted and illogical, its where you forget what you where duscussing and start defending your self. Time to walk a way and take a break, and get teh mind back in focus. Teh enemy loves our flesh its his favourite playground than ther is our minds.

God bless

That is not true. To suggest that our flesh is evil and our enemy is dualism.

God created us as flesh as well as spirit and he saw that what he had created was good,

Our flesh may not have been created evil, but it's definitely fallen now.

"The flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other..." (Galatians 5:17)
"Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God." (Romans 8:8)

So we do have to fight against the desires of our flesh, whenever they go against the will of God.

In Ephesians 6:12, Paul seems to be using the word 'flesh' in a slightly different sense. The 'flesh and blood' is the human organisations and governments that try to suppress and oppress believers; we need to look behind them to the spiritual enemy who inspires them. This is realism, not dualism.

Yes, we inherit a fallen nature but not an evil one that is our enemy.

When something is not your friend it is your foe, and the flesh is always in opposition to the things of God, that certainly does not make it our friend., Now if it was our friend life would be so much easier, and this walk with Jesus would be so much more fun, and christians wouldnt be running around troubled by sin.

Rom_8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom_7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

Rom_8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Rom_8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Rom_13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

God bless

The human body was created by God and all the things God creates are good. Indeed at the end of the sixth day (of creation), "God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good" (Gen 1:31). Not just good, but very good.

Christ's body was good. Our bodies are good. All the good things we do are done through the body. We love God in our bodies and express that love though our bodies. Our bodies are not our enemy.

When Adam fell he lost the full control of the will over the body, over the desires of the body. Desires can be good but when we do not control them they can lead to sin. That does not make our bodies our enemy.

The problem is in our will. The first quote from Paul (Rom 8:7) shows this:
"For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, indeed it cannot". Our battle is to regain the control of the will over bodily desires. When we lose that battle we do things we do not want to do.
As Paul says:"For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do" (Rom 7:19).

The body is like an unruly child that needs disciplining and taught self control. But an unruly child is not an enemy. It is something to be loved and brought under control. For that we need God's grace - the grace Adam lost when he sinned.

Yet when they ate from the tree in the garden of Eden, and sinned against God they Hid from Him and His words,

Who told thee that thou wast naked gen 3-11. Seems there flesh was hidden from them, now if it was good they would not of Hid from God...

gen 3.10 because I was naked and hid myself

ANd may I ask how you will discipline your body, beat it with flailing whips as they do till it bleeds. Doesnt work men have proved that.

It is about disciplining our body like that of Christ! As we need to do that.

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God?" (1Cor 6:19).

Do you really believe that your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, is your enemy?

Why do some get so mad.

No one says teh Holy Spirit is your enemy, bur far to many treat Him just that way. If christians walked in teh spirit as asked, teh world would be a different place but like all teh things of God, He is relegated to kitchen duties and forgotten. My body, our bodies are no more than earthen Jars that God has placed our Spirit to see us throught this Jouney on theis earth, just as we used to place fine wine, oil herbs and spices in Clay Jars to transport them all over the world.. It doesnt matter if it gets dirty, or charred a little, or get finger prints or cracks .for once we go back to God it simply is discarded, it has served it purpose, theer is no good in our flesh even Jesus said

Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

How does your quote relate to your previous remarks? I see no connection.
