The Genealogy of Jesus the Messiah

1
The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham:

  • The first thing to realize here is the importance of the first mention of Yeshua the Messiah here, the Son of David, who was the Son of David. There are some scriptures concerning, this child who was to be born who is the (Word of God John 1:1), and what he would be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. There would be no end to the increase of his government or of peace (spiritual peace found in him,) on the throne of David, and would be over his kingdom, to establish it, and uphold it with justice and righteouness, from then on and forevermore. The zeal of Yahava of armies will Accomplish this (Isaiah 9:6-11.) Isaiah also wrote, in (Isa 11:1), Then a shoot will spring up from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

  • Another thing to realize was the high importance to the Jewish people to always continually, preserve the names of those whom had come before them, as a way to legitimately say they are from the tribes which they were from. (The twelve tribes are the Patriarchs, which came from Jacob.)

2 Abraham fathered Isaac, Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob fathered Judah and his brothers. 3 Judah fathered Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez fathered Hezron, and Hezron fathered Ram. (Ruth 4:18-22)

4 Ram fathered Amminadab, Amminadab fathered Nahshon, and Nahshon fathered Salmon. 5 Salmon fathered Boaz by Rahab, Boaz fathered Obed by Ruth, and Obed fathered Jesse. 6 Jesse fathered David the king. David fathered Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.

  • Founded in 2 Samuel 11:27 When the time of mourning was over, David sent servants and had her brought to his house and she back his wife; then she bore him a son. But the thing that David had done was evil in the sight of Yahava. Another chapter later, in verse 24, Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and went into her and slept with her; and he named him Solomon. Now Yahava loved him,

7 Solomon fathered Rehoboam, Rehoboam fathered Abijah, and Abijah fathered Asa.

  • Founded in 1 Chr. 3:10 Now Solomon's son was Rehoboam, then Abijah with his son, Asa, his son, Jehoshaphat, his son,

8 Asa fathered Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat fathered Joram, and Joram fathered Uzziah. 9 Uzziah fathered Jotham, Jotham fathered Ahaz, and Ahaz fathered Hezekiah. 10 Hezekiah fathered Manasseh, Manasseh fathered Amon, and Amon fathered Josiah.

  • Founded in 1 Chr. 3:14 Amon, his son, and Josiah, his son.

11 Josiah fathered Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.

12 After the deportation to Babylon: Jeconiah fathered Shealtiel, and Shealtiel fathered Zerubbabel.

  • Founded in 2 Kings 24:14 Then he led into exile all the people of Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the valiant warriors, ten thousand exiles, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None were left except the poorest people of the land. In Jeremiah 27:20, which Nebuchadnezzer king of Babylon did not take when he led into exile Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem---
13 Zerubbabel fathered Abihud, Abihud fathered Eliakim, and Eliakim fathered Azor. 14 Azor fathered Zadok, Zadok fathered Achim, and Achim fathered Eliud. 15 Eliud fathered Eleazar, Eleazar fathered Matthan, and Matthan fathered Jacob. 16 Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah.

  • Later on in the Gospel of Matthew, 27:17 So when the people gathered together, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Christ?, in verse 22 Pilate said to them, "Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called the Christ? They all said crucify Him!"

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.

Important to realize the standard of how the Jewish people kept records. Since 70AD, there have been no more remaining records aside from the ones that are with-in Genesis to Revelation.

Reminds me of when the angel came to her, and spoke about the overshadowing of the spirit, @BlessedPeace. Thank you for your comment, now today because of Yeshua, and Mary having birth the Word of God, that has inherited flesh. Today, you are sent the holy spirit, the spirit of Christ, and you become adopted as Yahava, being your Father now too. Amazing, and beautiful.
