The verses below were taken from the New Matthew Bible, not for any reason other than I really love this version. Its a very careful and gentle update of William Tyndales New Testament from 1526

Use any translation you like.

Spoken to his Disciples
Matthew 16:28 Truly I say to you, some there are among them that stand here who shall not taste of death till they have seen the Son of man come in his kingdom.

Spoken before the Sanhedrin
Matthew 26:64 Jesus said to him, It is as you have said. But I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and come in the clouds of the sky.

A warning to the Philadelphians
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come shortly. Hold that which you have, so that no one may take away your crown.

Paul referencing Deuteronomy
2 Corinthians 13:1
Now I am coming the third time to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall everything be established.

Above we have three passages spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ concerning His imminent return.

Let's examine these passages together in good faith. What was Christ saying? To whom was He saying it? And what impact, if any, should these words have upon our present day understanding of biblical eschatology?

Every person whom ever believed in Jesus had and will die.

Matthew 16....Jesus' Kingdom is a reality of selflessness as opposed to mans reality of selfishness. It was his disciples (not just the 12, many of whom deserted him later) subsequently he says 'some standing here'. The 12 saw the nature of God's kingdom at the crucifixion and resurrection .....Jesus would rather die than kill.....and he submitted to the mob.

Matthew 26....Jesus is referring to his second coming as described in Matthew 24.

Revelation 3....Jesus here is also referring to his second coming as described in Matthew 24

and finally, why are you referencing Paul from 2 Corinthians 13 ?
