There is widespread flooding in the state, including in the area where I live. Weather forecast is for six to eight inches of snow in the next 48 hours, so it will get worse before it gets better.

I live in a a geographic area called the Knobs, a low mountain range in the central part of the state - about 30 miles south of Louisville. The closest town to me (3 miles away) is a small farming community which has one stoplight and little more than a gas station. It’s famous for only one thing - flooding. (So nothing new or out of the ordinary for us.) My house is built on a hilltop and isn’t susceptible to flooding. We may get stranded for a while but we’re fine and well-provisioned.
