17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; - 2 Corinthians 5:17-18.

How is it the new creature came into being, or comes into being. We have a tendency to talk over the scriptures like nothing ever happened and it is dependant on me to bring forth something. Unlike scripture we have a wondering mind..the mind that likes to enquire. The enquire magazine is probably the best selling magazine of all times. The stories it gave.. kept it's reader's entertained. It was the cure for the mind needing to be settled in it's enquiry's. Sounds facetious but let the mind do some roaming and it can end up Lord only knows where! That enquiring mind is a fallacy.

That is what a human being is born into this world with (inquiring mind), it is not all bad, but it is bad enough to justify-satisfy-enquiry. If you follow the leading of your mind you will never know anything. Example; it used to be the enquire! Now it is conspiracy theories keeping the mind entertained, to the point that will it keep an individual in the dark. They already have a darkened mind at birth - now they feed that mind. Christians can be the worse because our minds have had a touch of God. Christian's are the only people that can be double minded. So with that; we can come up with the greatest of theories. We can concoct some doozies!

What is that? The mind that is created by God, distorted by Satan..it stands no chance of just seeing what is simply written. It will concoct the latest and greatest conspiracy theory to; Lord only knows where it will go. The enquiring mind!

Point in case; you just try to accept a verse such as a new creation - as it is written. You know where you will go? Everywhere.. accept what it written! Your mind will add to what is written just because you cannot accept the written word of God the way it is written. You will need to theorize it, and say man wrote it and give what you believe it means. You will even feel like you have a handle on it; all this word of God business. And will be loud and proud to give your thoughts on it and how you we're led to see how the world will end in some fireball. Or God told you who the anti-Christ is. That is usually the end result of the enquiring mind.

Accept what is written as it is written! We do not need to help God interpret what He gave to us to be interpreted by the Spirit. We already have The Interpreter; just listen. It is not rocket science. Trust and obey, that will keep you plenty busy and it keeps you out of His hair...His business. You are no more than a co-laborer! nothing more nothing less. You cannot even do that unless you quit enquiring with that mind and listen.

@soul man This makes me think also of Philippians 2: "Let this mind be in you..." :)

this is true

theology is of men and Truth of God is of God.

but the brain, if you will, is just and organ that stores and processes information, and its said as a man thinks so he is, therefore should one put on the mind of Christ as Paul teaches then so is that person. and one isn't going to replace what he already thinks with what the Lord thinks over night. so what is it you want to know and understand, things of man, or things of God?

James teaches that God give wisdom freely to those who ask.

As a man thinketh ..so is he.

for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. - proverbs 23:7.
