Look at the verse, in it's context. Read exactly what it says,

The Greek word can be used to apply to the land of Israel, i.e. Matt 2:6, or in the case of Gal 6:16 or Matt 8:10, it is making reference to the people of Israel. The difference is the tic in either case.
