If you commit adultery, bear false witness against someone, steal, or murder, you're going to get yourself into trouble, right here on earth. The Lord warned us not to do these things. It's called, "The Law." Why do some people despise the law?

The law is a tutor to point us to Christ. It is a schoolmaster.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.
Galatians 3:24-27
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.Romans 10:4

The Mosaic Law also says to decimate everyone in an entire town if a small percentage of residents start practicing paganism (Deuteronomy 13:6-18). Here it is: Bible Gateway passage: Deuteronomy 13:6-18 - New International Version
Those laws (such as the one I highlighted) you call “a gift” were written during the Bronze Age by barbarian-like elders. Do you know what you’re reading?

Without Law there'd be anarchy.....and that's no joke. Survival of the fittest and fastest would come into its own. You can be certain that law is a gift to an outta control world.
