You shouldn’t need any of this if you are Born Again..do you know you are actually worshipping your commentaries more than you worship the Living God.

No wonder you lack spirit knowledge, your obsessed with commentaries you are addicted to them.

You should be addicted to being led through scripture by the Holy Spirit.

You worship ,a false god that false god is “ COMMENTARIES “ for heavens sake open up your heart to the Lord...he’s waiting..
lol..

You listen to things,, But you have no basis to know if those things are true or not.

Exactly one should be able like a good Berean to search the scriptures. Precept upon precept , scripture interprets scripture.

2 Timothy 3:16- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
Remember, she said if your born again you do not need to do this..

The accuser of the brethren-stay well clear of this little man brother.
Johann
Just expose them
If you had any discernment you would have picked up this is not "commentary" but proper exegesis-not only don't you feel the need to read your Bible but you are too lazy to even study your Bible that the eyes of your understanding MAY be enlightened, Subjunctive Clause!

You quote passages, but not willing to give your understanding of it-that's "commentary!"
I have plenty commentaries on my E sword but don't have to use them-how can the Holy Spirit open the Scriptures to you if you don't read or study your Bible? And then make it applicable in your life and grow into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and your style of life slowly being conformed to that of Christ Jesus-into His Imagode/Tselem?

Stay in your lane, and I will stay in mine since I have no more desire to have a conversation with you. You are wasting my precious time online in real time, a ship tossed to and fro on the wild sea--
i have logos. Great resource when I need it

Maybe we should take a breath and pray before posting?

Posts like these are why we can't have nice things ....and by that I mean closed threads.
And this is "excately" what I'm doing-praying and sharing for the edification of other members-this is not on me but certain members are going all out in the hopes to do excately this-the closing of THIS thread over which I prayed.
This thread is not about Johann but to give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ and to Him only.
Do what you "feel led" to do @Wynona but pray BEFORE making a decision to close this thread which I treasure.
Shalom
Johann.

There is already a threat of closing THIS thread brother, over which I have prayed and hopefully edify others-I think the ignore button will come in handy as it is already 01:11 AM here in South Africa and have wasted my day on this cantankerous accuser of the brethren individual.
And since you have a Logos Bible Software you should know that what I post is biblically sound.
Johann.

Just one thing-the Scriptures is not only about nice things but about truth-it is the conduct of individuals that is questionable.

Here's the problem.
This thread is not just for the members here. I assume that it is widely read by outsiders as well as those here.
Because of that, it is necessary to explain each side. The information in this thread may save someone from falling. What needs to be corrected, actions wise, for it to continue?

Was not threatening to close the thread.

But it could get there. Personally, it feels like most of us spiritualize our lack of patience with others on here. Meaning, our insults are Godly correction, but theirs are proof of carnality. Who can truly say?

Does the anger of man produce the righteousness of God? (Scripture says no)

But in any case, violating the rules of the TOS insulting others can get threads shut down no matter what the intention was. I like this thread. Lets stay on topic and do what it takes to keep it here, even if we need to take a breather.

The insults are a problem.

Trolling/Goading is defined as repeated attempts through the use of images, cartoons, smileys or text that is designed to be explicitly demeaning, patronizing, embarrassing, or otherwise upsetting to a member or group of members in the community.
This further includes making false statements or accusations about a member.
Sarcasm is not included under this rule.
[*]Do not attack another member's character in any way. Address the post content, not the member's character, family, denominational affiliation or any other subject that may be perceived as a personal attack by the Christianity Board team and is not germane to the topic or post at hand

I agree. But insults are not in line with the forum rules. Adjust comments accordingly, even when correcting people.
I have not insulted anyone here today @Wynona and yesterday was "one of my off days"-maybe I should change my avatar since most here think I am like Rocky-I believe in a Christlike dialogue and this thread is tame compared to others on this Forum. You know me for a long time and you think I haven't changed?
But I must bear with the insults of ONE member, non stop, and have already reported him.

Should I send you scriptures on how to correct someone? Or should I send you scriptures on what to do with a divisive member?

Then why is Christophany/civic-a member from BAM here, doing just that? Flaming, goading, INSULTING, trolling AND patronizing?!
On THIS thread, non stop for two days now?
All I want is peace and to teach and edify the other members-this is my calling and gifting, teaching.

I was trying to go for a general reminder. I never thought to single you out or anyone else. I'm counting on each person reading this to adjust if they need to. Im not into controlling people, just seeking peace.

I guess I can be too vague and aloof at times. But I have no desire to target individual people and embarrass them. Either "stop insulting others" applies or it doesn't. If you didn't insult anyone, there's no need to feel defensive or targeted. If you did, that's not the main point. Lets *all* be mindful from this point on. Thats all Im suggesting.

Thank you, that's all I wanted to hear and I am not defensive or playing the victim here.
Shalom to you and family
