Early in the Book of Genesis, God revealed (for those paying attention), about a spiritual war between 2 seeds during this present world.

Gen 3:14-15
14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
KJV

Per Rev.12:9, that "serpent" name is just another one of Satan's title. God is speaking to Satan there.

The Seed of the Woman would bruise Satan's head, and Satan would bruise Christ's heel on the cross.

Thus Satan also has a 'seed', which I interpret in the spiritual sense, workers for him that have been ordained to that condemnation for this present world, which you can find Jude 4 revealing that point.

And the Seed of the Woman represents the literal seed from which Lord Jesus Christ would be born of, and the family which God chose to give His everlasting covenant to with a duty to take that everlasting covenant, The Gospel of Jesus Christ, to all nations and all peoples of this world.

This reveals the idea of Apostle Paul's "mystery of iniquity" of 2 Thessalonians 2:7. It is also the idea of the "many antichrists" mentioned by Apostle John. Lord Jesus also taught it in Matthew 13 in His parable of the tares of the field. If you do not know about it, then your Bible understanding is going to be limited in scope. Jesus explained His parable of the tares, which means His servants are to understand it. It is one of the ways that gives discernment of Christ's enemies.

Christ's Parable of The Tares of The Field:

Matt 13:24-30
24 Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

In wheat horticulture, tares are weeds that while growing look just like wheat. But near harvest time the tares grow these little black buds that reveals them as weeds. Then at harvest time, the tare is separated from the wheat.

Jesus reveals that the 'enemy' sneaked and sowed tares among the wheat. Keep reading to find out.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

There as I explained about the black buds that eventually show up on the tares.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, "Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?"

28 He said unto them, "An enemy hath done this." The servants said unto him, "Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?"

29
But he said, "Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."
KJV

That future event of the gathering will happen at Christ's future 2nd coming. That harvest is about the separation of Christ's sheep on His right hand vs. the goats separated on His left hand, per Matthew 25.

Lord Jesus then gives another parable, and then goes into the house, when His disciples ask Him to 'explain' the parable of the tares to them. The following is Lord Jesus' explanation, not another symbolic parable. That means the following is meant literally, even though it may difficult for many to believe...

Matt 13:36-43
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto Him, saying, "Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field."

37 He answered and said unto them, "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

Lord Jesus is that "Son of man". Jesus sowed the good seed of this world, meaning His called and chosen ones.

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

The good seed represents those who will inherit God's Kingdom. But the tares are Satan's workers here on earth, his own elect, those with the 'brute beast' nature that work evil.

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Since the devil is who sowed the children of the wicked one, it means they were predestinated to that condemnation before the foundation of this world. And that is exactly what the Jude 4 Scripture is about...

Jude 3-4
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
KJV

Notice particularly what those crept in unawares do; they turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and deny the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

That kind of sounds like the orthodox unbelieving Jews, doesn't it? I won't deny that those crept in unawares are definitely among Judah, which God's Word does reveal as written. But those are among Gentiles too. That's about the tares that the enemy sowed among the good wheat (God's people).

What this means is that God has a negative side to His Plan of Salvation. This idea of course is not taught in the Churches. It only comes to light once a thorough study of all of God's Word is done with the help of The Holy Spirit. What this means is that although Christ's Salvation is open to all who would believe, not all are going to believe during this present world time, as some have been ordained to the condemnation of working for Satan, thus the children that Satan sowed.

And thus the spiritual battle for this world between the two seeds. It is very real. And we are never to forget about it, but always be on guard.

Matt.13:40
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
KJV

The above is a summary of the events for the end when Jesus returns. It is not complete though, because Lord Jesus later revealed there will be a "thousand years" reign by Him and His elect over the unsaved nations before anyone perishes in the future "lake of fire". (Revelation 20; Zechariah 14)

The start of the two seeds begin in Genesis with Cain and Abel.

1. Cain was of that wicked one (1 John 3:12).

Per Genesis 4:3-5, Cain brought an offering of fruit of the ground to The LORD, which was not the firstfruits that should have been offered instead. His brother Abel instead brought to The LORD the firstlings of his flock, which God did accept as righteousness. Thus Cain's offering was not accepted by The LORD, and Cain was angry because of it, further showing his evil works. That reveals Cain's manner that he did not really have respect towards The LORD, but instead Cain wanted to follow his own way. The 1 John 3:12 Scripture reveals this also, declaring Cain slew his brother Abel because Cain's works were evil, and his brother's works were righteous. Satan's children are always going to be jealous of God's people.

The Book of Jude gives more detail about the ways of Cain and his people:

Jude 10-21
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally,
as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Apostle Peter also spoke of these using that metaphor, as "natural brute beasts" (2 Peter 2:12). That gives us a bit more detail about the inner nature that Cain was given, and which is naturally within the spiritual seed of Satan, i.e., his children, the children of darkness. By nature, the children of darkness have that "natural brute beast" nature within them so as to work the negative side of God's Plan for this world.

(Can those still be saved by Christ?? YES! IF... they overcome that natural beast nature given them, and instead seek Jesus Christ and believe on Him, and follow Him. But as we can see like with someone that's been addicted to hard drugs most of their life, they have a difficult time overcoming it, yet it has been done, and can be done. Same with those brute beasts, Salvation is offered to them also if they will receive Jesus Christ.)

So when those in the Church wonder why those exist in the world to do evil, and why they won't change and come to Lord Jesus Christ, it should be understood per this matter written in God's Word, that Satan's seed is here to work the negative side of God's Plan, and it is necessary for this present world time. In so many words, God is actually USING Satan as a punishing rod (Isaiah 10 with God using the title of "the Assyrian" as a type for Satan.) Some of Satan's seed may seek Christ, but because of God's Plan for this world, the majority of them will not.

11 Woe unto them!
for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Reference to Balaam and the gainsaying of Core were Old Testament events where some among Israel and the nations wanted to go their own ways, and God handed out grave penalties upon them.

12 These are
spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

A Biblical fact that many brethren appear to not be aware of. These brute beasts will and do creep into the Church, and are symbolic spots in our feasts of charity. That means they are very... sneaky, smooth, which is actually one of Satan's traits for working deception. They are "twice dead", what's that point to?

One who is without Jesus Christ is spiritually dead inside their being, and thus those who continue to reject Lord Jesus will be among the condemned to perish in the future "lake of fire", called the "second death". Those of them that or ordained to that condemnation, who will not turn, are destined for that condemnation. However, those brute beasts still have the offer... of Christ's Salvation IF they will turn to Him. So we do not yet know who all those will be, and thus we must let the "tares" continue to grow with the good wheat until the day of harvest with Christ's future return.

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, "Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

You believing brethren in Christ Jesus, don't ever... try to apply that above warning by Enoch to yourself, not if you are a servant of Lord Jesus Christ and seek to serve Him and The Father. That does not apply to Christ's Church! Instead, those of Christ's Church that are asleep are on the other end of that, coming with Jesus Christ's at His future coming!

Some of Satan's seed that have crept into the Church have vainly attempted to apply the ungodly deeds of Enoch's warning to believers who slip up at times that are members of Christ's Church. One of the problems many brethren in Christ appear to allow, when they should not, are guilt complexes, making it easy for Satan's children to spread lies and deception among us. Don't listen to them, and mark those who do that for they do not represent God's people. Satan is always looking for ways to accuse before God.

The above declaration by Enoch, the 7th from the man Adam, shows that he was aware of The Gospel of Jesus Christ, even back in that Old Testament time!

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Jude makes the point here that these brute beasts were not just for back in history, but are still here to our very day, "the last time", which means all the way up to Christ's future return.

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
KJV

Cain (continued...)

Gen 4:9-12
9 And the LORD said unto Cain, "Where is Abel thy brother?" And he said, "I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?"

10 And He said, "What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto Me from the ground.
11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
12
When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth."
KJV

After Cain had murdered his brother Abel, God then asks Cain about it, which Cain even lied about it to God. Because of that act, God said the ground would be cursed to Cain, that the ground would not yield (grow fruit) by his hand.

Gen 4:13-17
13 And Cain said unto the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14 Behold, Thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from Thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me."

15
And the LORD said unto him, "Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Many have tried to find out what that actual "mark" is that God put upon Cain. We are actually to understand its attributes, as God gave it to Cain so his life would be preserved.

16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
KJV

Some have asked me where the "land of Nod" was, and where did Cain get his wife. I refer them to Bristowe's book Sargon The Magnificent in which she documented the original translations in the Babylonian cuneiform clay tablets about the ancient Sumer civilization, and the sudden appearance of one of Semitic origin that became the Sumerians' first king (Sargon I). He built the first city there, and taught the ancient Sumerians sciences and canal building. His death mask is in the British museum.

What makes Bristowe's research unique is how the Babylonian tablets give a type of pagan account of the creation that pre-dates the Biblical account through Moses. And more strongly that Sargon I may relate directly to having been Cain, is how the translators originally got the date of 3800 B.C. when Sargon appeared there in ancient Sumer. Per the Bible chronology from Lord Jesus birth back to the man Adam, 17th century bishop Ussher set the date for God having formed Adam in His Garden at 4004 B.C. The British scholar E.W. Bullinger also confirmed that date in his Bible chronology. That 4004 B.C. is only 204 years difference from 3800 B.C. The Assyriologists later changed that original 3800 B.C. translation though, because it did not fit their present theories at the time (per Bristowe's documentation).

Thus I strongly... believe that ancient Sumer was the Genesis 4 "land of Nod", and Sargon I who appeared among those ancient Sumerians in 3800 B.C. most likely was Cain. And the first city Cain built there in ancient Sumer was Urech or Erech (per Britstowe from the Assyriologist translation).

Gen 4:22-24
22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-cain, an instructer of
every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.

23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech:
for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
KJV

Cain's Attributes: the Mark:

Cain and his offspring could not farm, as God had cursed the ground to Cain and his people. That means Cain had to do something else, like become workers in the trades and a builder of cities.

Isa 14:21
21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land,
nor fill the face of the world with cities.
KJV

God gave the above rebuke about Satan and his seed within that Isaiah 14 Scripture. That verse is specifically pointing to the sons of Cain, their ways, and the 'mark' attributes, builders of cities, murder, wickedness.

Thusly:
1. murder
2. cannot farm
3. must turn to other trades
4. builders of cities

Luke 16:8
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely:
for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
KJV

Phil 3:18-19
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
KJV

Add one more attribute to the mark of Cain:
SHREWDNESS
, wiser than the children of light.

1. murder
2. cannot farm
3. must turn to other trades
4. builders of cities
5. wiser than the children of light

Now don't get excited because you, one of Christ's servants, may work in the trades, or in construction, and not a farmer. That does not mean you inherited Cain's mark nor brute beast nature. But think about what goes on in large cities; what do you find there? So understand those attributes of the mark God put upon Cain and his people per God's written Word, and you will understand the mark of Cain. You might even be able to identify some of those with the 'brute beast' nature in them by that 'mark'.

2. Do the children of Cain still exist today in the world?

I don't care how you deal with trying to answer that question, because the truth per God's Word is that the 'way of Cain' is still among us today, and Lord Jesus even pointed to some of them in the John 8 Chapter, a Bible witness by Lord Jesus that many find difficult to take.

John 8:13-59
13 The
Pharisees therefore said unto Him, "Thou bearest record of Thyself; Thy record is not true."

There is a long Old Testament history about the crept in unawares back in Israel's history of foreigners from the Canaanite nations that became temple workers (Nethinims), bondservants to Israel, and some of them eventually crept into Israel's priesthood, and even became the scribes in charge of copying God's written Word from generation to generation.

It was a group of the Pharisees and scribes that sought Jesus' execution and sought to find something against Him to bring that about. Lord Jesus, His mere existence and the prophecies about Him threatened the positions those foreigner crept in unawares had gained for themselves. But be careful, because not all the Pharisees were against Lord Jesus; some of them believed on Lord Jesus. The problem was a group of 'hidden' workers of Satan among the good Jewish Pharisees. Jesus called those hidden ones the "synagogue of Satan" in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, "Though I bear record of Myself, yet My record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16 And yet if I judge, My judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father That sent Me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of Myself, and the Father That sent Me beareth witness of Me."

Those Pharisees didn't know Who Christ is, for the children of darkness are not given to understand things of The Spirit.

19 Then said they unto him, "Where is thy Father?" Jesus answered, "Ye neither know Me, nor My Father: if ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also."

Once again, those Pharisees, crept in unawares of Satan's host from Old Testament times, were spiritually blind to Christ and The Father. Their pagan traditions instead claimed other gods that were no gods, and Lord Jesus will point that out here in time.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as He taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on Him; for His hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
22 Then said the Jews, "Will he kill Himself? because He saith, 'Whither I go, ye cannot come.'"

Continually mocking and making up lies, that's another trait of the way of Cain.

23 And He said unto them, "Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins."

Uh, oh... Lord Jesus is beginning to reveal some hard Truth about them, they are from beneath? Beneath where? From hell, where else do you think He was point to? Who would be represented by the children of hell? The "children of darkness", Satan's seed.

25 Then said they unto Him, "Who art Thou?" And Jesus saith unto them, "Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but He That sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of Him."
27 They understood not that He spake to them of the Father.

How could one be a true Pharisee, one of the main religious group of leaders of Israel of the day, and not understand Jesus was pointing to Himself as The Christ and His Father as THE Father, GOD? I guarantee that the Pharisees who did believe on Lord Jesus as The Christ understood, and that's why those did believe, which further reveals these particular Pharisees here were descendants of the pagan Canaanites.

28 Then said Jesus unto them, "When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father hath taught Me, I speak these things.
29 And He That sent Me is with Me: the Father hath not left Me alone; for I do always those things that please Him."
30 As He spake these words, many believed on Him.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, "If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

That reveals not all the Jews present were against Lord Jesus, but some believed on Him. Those who believed specifically are who He said that to, that by staying in His Word to become His disciples would give one to know the truth, and the truth would make those free. Free how exactly? Free from the DECEPTIONS and evil workings of this world, even the ability to discern these with the brute beast nature in them!

33 They answered Him, "We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, 'Ye shall be made free?'"

Major revelation above; they were not of the seed of Israel. Abraham had other families other than Isaac of which the seed of Israel would be born of. But I doubt these unbelieving Pharisees were even of Abraham at all. Reason is, because the children of Israel WERE in bondage in Egypt at one time, during the days of Moses. But these as a people, claimed they were never... in bondage.

John 8:34
34 Jesus answered them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill Me, because My word hath no place in you.
38 I speak that which I have seen with My Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with
your father."

I believe Lord Jesus is only just agreeing with them on their point about their being Abraham's seed. That because Jesus points to their father being someone else other than Abraham!

39 They answered and said unto Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus saith unto them, "If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill Me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father." Then said they to Him, "We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God."

Lord Jesus above shows that He didn't really believe their claim as Abraham for their father. Instead, Jesus declared they do the deeds of their... father? Who's that?

42 Jesus said unto them, "If God were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me.
43 Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My word.
44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe Me not.
46 Which of you convinceth Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me?
47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

Lord Jesus then lowered the boom upon them. He showed that their father was the devil himself! Do you remember Lord Jesus' explanation of who sowed the "tares" of Matthew 13? It was the devil who sowed the tares He said.

Did you notice Jesus said, "He was a murderer from the beginning"? WHO was that? That was CAIN who murdered his brother Abel. Lord Jesus is calling those specific Pharisees the seed of Satan, and offspring of Cain.

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto Him, "Say we not well that Thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?"

The usual comeback by the children of Cain, try a reverse character assisination.

49 Jesus answered, "I have not a devil; but I honour My Father, and ye do dishonour Me.
50 And I seek not Mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep My saying, he shall never see death."
52 Then said the Jews unto Him, "Now we know that Thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and Thou sayest, 'If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.'
53 Art Thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest Thou Thyself?"

This is where those children of the devil will seek to condemn Lord Jesus Christ and have Him executed for claiming to be God.

54 Jesus answered, "If I honour Myself, My honour is nothing: it is My Father That honoureth Me; of Whom ye say, that He is your God:
55 Yet ye have not known Him; but I know Him: and if I should say, I know Him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know Him, and keep His saying.
56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad."

Once again, Lord Jesus points how those Pharisees don't know God's Word, and don't know The God of Abraham, The God of Isaac, and The God of Jacob. They stole their places in the seat of Moses and lift themselves up on their own, liars, brute beasts, shrewd workers, clouds without water, spots in the Jew's feasts, brute beasts made to be destroyed... etc.

Then Lord Jesus reveals that Abraham knew Him and The Gospel, which is very true per God's Word (see Galatians 3 and Romans 4).

57 Then said the Jews unto Him, "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast Thou seen Abraham?"
58
Jesus said unto them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, 'Before Abraham was, I AM."

Lord Jesus by that claimed that He is GOD, The I AM, one of God's sacred names He gave through Moses. Lord Jesus was the Melchizedek who met Abraham, and offered Abraham "bread and wine", and Abraham paid tithes to him (see Hebrews 7).

59 Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
KJV

Those Pharisees wanted to stone Jesus because they understood what He meant when He said "Before Abraham was, I AM," being a claim to be GOD.

That John 8 Chapter revealed by Lord Jesus, that the sons of Cain do... still exist to this day. There they were at the time of Lord Jesus' 1st coming, sitting in Moses' seat of the law.

The Nations of Canaan:

Early on in Genesis Abram has moved to the lands of Canaan where God told him to go. God then tells Abram, who would become known as Abraham, to go to a land where his seed will be a stranger, where they would serve for 400 years.

Gen 15:13-21
13 And He said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

God tells Abram his seed will go to a land where they will be a stranger, and that they will serve for 400 years. That land was Egypt and his seed would be the children of Israel, the 12 tribes. Then Abraham's seed after 400 years would come out of Egypt with riches.

15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

After the 4th generation of the children of Israel as slaves in Egypt, then the iniquity of the Amorites would be full. The Amorites were a people of the land of Canaan.

17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."
KJV

God then makes a covenant with Abraham, and shows him the lands he is to inherit, from the river in Egypt (most likely the Nile), unto the great river Euphrates (in southern Iraq).

God then names the nations of peoples that dwell in the lands of Canaan. Canaan was the offspring of Noah's son Ham and Noah's wife, which uses the expression of 'uncovering thy father's nakedness' in Leviticus 18:8 & 20:11.

Kenites - Dr. James Strong defined these originally as descendants of the first child (see Strong's no.7014). Who was the first child per God's Word? Cain. How can that be? You'll have to determine that for yourself why he labeled them that, but recall Jesus in John 8 pointing to those Pharisees who wanted to murder Him that their father was a murderer from the beginning. The 1 Chronicles 2:55 Scripture also reveals that these families of Kenites became Israel's scribes in charge of keeping the letters of God's Word. The city of Jabez was one of their main dwellings. These scribes were often associated with the Pharisees who tried to attack Lord Jesus Christ (Matt.5:20; Matt.20:18; Matt.23:2; Matt.23:13-29, etc.).

Kenizzites - God reveals here in Genesis 15 these people dwelt in the lands of Canaan. They may have originated elsewhere, as it seems some keep trying to point them away from Canaan, but God's Word still declares they were in Canaan. Because they are mentioned only here in Genesis 15:19, some believe they were the same as the Kenites. But God's Word is specific here that they represent a separate people from the Kenites.

Kadmonites - likewise, the Kadmonites are mentioned only here in Genesis 15:19 as dwellers in Canaan.

Hittites - the Hittites do have an early history as descendants from Canaan's second child Heth (Gen.10:15). They had also dwelt in Palestine and in Syria.

Perizzites - another peoples in the land of Canaan descended from Ham's son Canaan.

Rephaims - these were not... descendants of Canaan, but they dwelt in Canaan. This name Rephaim is a proper name for the hybrid-race of giants that came out of the Genesis 6 event when the "sons of God" (angels) took wives of the flesh daughters of men, and their offspring were the giants, men of renown (i.e., of the legends, of the ancient mythologies). Others of the giants with them in the lands of Canaan were the Emim (what the Moabites called them, also with the Anakims per Deut.2:9-11). Zamzummin was what the Ammonites called the giants (see Deut.2:20).

The Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites - these all dwelt in the lands of Canaan. The Jebusites were the original possessors of the city of Jebus, a pagan city which God gave king David to conquer and was renamed Jerusalem.

When Abraham first came into the land of Canaan, God's Word declares that the Canaanite was then already in the land...

Gen 12:5-6
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh.
And the Canaanite was then in the land.
KJV

Why would that little tidbit of info be given? What was it about the Canaanites in the land that was a mystery? The mystery was that the hybrid-giant race offspring from the fallen angels and flesh woman were already there dwelling in the lands of Canaan along with those nations who were guilty of great iniquity. One might even surmise the reason for their doing great iniquity was because of that hybrid-giant offspring from the "sons of God" and the flesh daughters of the man Adam per Genesis 6.

And even though there are many who do not believe that mating happened with fallen angels and flesh woman to produce a hybrid-giant race that was once upon this earth, God's Word confirms it did happen. Here is one of the confirmations in God's Word...

Isa 26:14
14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased
(Rephaim), they shall not rise: therefore hast Thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.
KJV

The Hebrew for "deceased" is actually a reference to the proper name Rephaim, which is thus rendered as the proper name Rephaim in other Scripture (OT:7497, 2 Sam.5:18 & 22; 2 Sam.23:13; 1 Chr.11:15; 1 Chr.14:9; Isa.17:5).

The fact that the Rephaim "they shall not rise", meaning they shall not resurrect from the dead, means they have NO resurrection. All born in the flesh that have died will be raised and have a resurrection, as per John 5:28-29 and Hebrews 9:27. But these Rephaim, the hybrid-giant race that once walked this earth, they will have no resurrection. And the angels which mated with flesh woman to produce the hybrid giants are at present held in prison of the greatest depths of hell until the day of judgment (2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6).

When the children of Israel were led out of Egypt into the land of Canaan, God then commanded them to utterly destroy seven specific nations of the land of Canaan, and not even take of their spoils or animals, and don't leave alive anything that breaths (Deuteronomy 20:16-17). It was because the Canaanites in those specific nations, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, had worked great iniquity, but was also where the hybrid-giants especially had the center of their dwelling. This is most likely the reason when Abraham entered the land it was said, "And the Canaanite was then in the land." (Gen.12:6).

The hybrid-giant race was not part of God's Plan, so it was obvious that He want that hybrid-giant race eliminated, which the Isaiah 26:14 does point to. This is why He commanded those 7 specific nations to be utterly destroyed by Israel, and not leave alive anything breathed. Some like to judge our Heavenly Father harshly because of His command to so that, but those obviously do not understand what has happened back in earth history with that hybrid-giant race.

Buffalo Bill, in his autobiography, has a small section witness of one of his Pawnee Indian expedition members that brought a huge femur bone into camp, in which a doctor in the expedition was present, and confirmed that it was a femur of a human. Yet it was very large. The Pawnee testified per his people's history that there was once dwelling in the land (Americas) a race of giants three times taller than the average man, and the giant would run with a buffalo herd, pull out a buffalo, tear off one of its legs and eat while running. He said the Great Spirit brought a flood that made those giants flee to the mountains, and the flood eventually reached over the mountain tops and killed them.

Thus Satan had tried to taint and destroy the Seed of the symbolic Woman from which Lord Jesus Christ would be born through. That was obviously Satan's scheme with his angels mating with flesh woman to produce the hybrid-giant race also, trying to mix up the bloodline of Christ's future birth, and thus try and prevent Jesus' crucifixion.

Davy there have always been 2 seeds, and it is even in the church today. Those whom God knows, and those who He does not know.

Concerning Cain I believe it is true. Paul says even though they had the same mother and father, and neither had done evil, I do not love Esau. (my paraphrase). There is a lot to try and understand in the OT... Who were Noah's, sons, wife's, for example.

The OT can give us a basis for "WHY" God saves some, and not others.

How does He choose. Sovereignty? Sure.

But God had reasons, He is not aimless in His decision making. Jesus even infers by saying "My flock". Seems related to the 2 seeds, and Genesis 3:15.

Bottom line, Believe upon The Lord Jesus Christ, being born again, is the issue at hand now...

The First Major Creeping In Among Israel of the Canaanites:

God had led the children of Israel out of Egypt using Moses, but he would not lead the children of Israel into the promised lands of Canaan. Instead Joshua would lead the children of Israel across the river Jordan into the land God had commanded them to go.

God had commanded the children of Israel to utterly destroy... the specific nations He said that were of Canaan listed in Deuteronomy 20:17. God commanded those specific nations utterly destroyed because He had given them 400 years to repent for their iniquity, but they did not. Moreover, the Rephaim (giant hybrid-race) were there among those nations, a hybrid-race of men of great stature which was not part of God's Plan.

Josh 9:1-6
9 And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
2 That they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.

So those Canaanite nations God commanded Israel to utterly destroy banded together against Israel, but they would not succeed against Joshua and the children of Israel.

3 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,
4 They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
5 And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy.

When those of Canaan that dwelt at Gibeon heard about the destruction of Jericho and Ai by Joshua and the children of Israel, they feared destruction also, so they disguised themselves as foreigners that had come from a long journey from another country. They made theirselves look as ragged as possible.

6 And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, "We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us."
KJV

Those Canaanites then begged Joshua to make a pact with them, so as to join Joshua and Israel.

Josh 9:15-16
15 And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.

16 And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.
KJV

Thus Joshua made a league to let them join with them. Then after three days, Joshua and the children of Israel starting becoming suspicious and found out these ragged worn out peoples were actually Canaanite neighbors of the nations of Canaan.

Josh 9:18-23
18 And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.
19 But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
20 This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.

21 And the princes said unto them,
"Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.

22 And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, "Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?

23
Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
KJV

Since Joshua had made an oath to them before God, it was binding. So Joshua made these Canaanites hewers of wood and drawers of water for the temple, duties which originally belonged only to the Levitical priesthood.

Josh 9:27
27 And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation,
and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.
KJV

This was the first major event of the "crept in unawares" of Jude 4 among the children of Israel. There will be more creeping in later in Israel's history.

God Becomes Angry With Israel Because of Not Obeying His Command to Destroy the Canaanite Nations in the Land:

Judg 2:1-4
2 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, "I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break My covenant with you.

2
And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed My voice: why have ye done this?

3
Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

4 And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
KJV

Because the children of Israel when entering the land of Canaan, failed in destroying the Canaanite nations God had specified, He told them He would leave their leftovers to be a thorn in the side of Israel, and their pagan gods as a snare to the children of Israel. It is still this way to this day, as God will allow even one born of Israel to fall into deception to pagan gods which are no gods, and also mix with the Canaanites.

When Joshua had died, and after a generation later or so, the children of Israel began falling away to worship of idols of Baalim and Ashtaroth, plural for a pagan goddess from which Ishtar was another version of the name (the word Easter is derived from Ishtar, as Easter was originally a pagan fertility worship ritual, though not now. It later became a Christian holiday to represent Christ's death and resurrection. Maybe God wanted us to remember about this falling away to Baal and Ishtar worship in the history of His people, thus even the pagan name Easter to represent a Christian holiday is kind of like a thorn in the side? (Judges 2:7-13)

God then gave Israel judges that would follow Him, and Israel began to put away their idols and be delivered. But the children of Israel still would not hearken to their judges, but turned to pagan false gods again and did evil. (Judges 2:14-19)

God then made this declaration to them... which still stands to this day...

Judg 2:20-23
20 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and He said, "Because that this people hath transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto My voice;
21
I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
22 That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.
23 Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered He them into the hand of Joshua.
KJV

Judg 3:1-7
3 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
3 Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baal-hermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
4 And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which He commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

5
And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:

6 And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
7 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
KJV

Could have those who crept in among the children of Israel earlier in their history have been much of the cause of their continually falling away into Baal idol worship and doing evil? I have no doubt it was, as that creeping in reveals a working by Satan to try and interrupt God's Plan through His Son Jesus Christ Who would be born of the tribe of Judah. Is this kind of thing still going on today among God's people? Yes, most definitely. Many have forgotten The Father and His Son Jesus Christ, and instead walk by their own vanities and lusts of the world. The devil uses the things of the world to continually propagandize God's people so that many of God's people have little clue as to what is actually going on.

The Kenites Migrate Among Judah

Judg 1:16-19
16
And the children of the Kenite, Moses' father in law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.

Recall per Genesis 15 the Kenites were a foreign people that dwelt in the land of Canaan.

The above verse intimates that Moses' father-in-law Jethro was a Kenite, but in reality he was not...

Num 10:29
29
And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
KJV

Raguel was another name for Jethro, Moses' father-in-law. Jethro, or Raguel, was a Midianite. Exodus 2 & 3 reveals Jethro was a priest of Midian. Who then was Midian from whom he was descended from? Per Genesis 25, Midian was a son of Abraham and his wife Keturah.

17 And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they slew the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. And the name of the city was called Hormah.
18 Also Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof.
19 And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
KJV

Thus the Kenite foreigners of the land of Canaan, who had helped the children of Israel when they first were entering into the holy land, were spared, and would dwell among the tribe of Judah particularly (1 Samuel 15:6; Judges 1:16).

1 Chron 2:55
55 And
the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
KJV

A group of the Kenites, those that migrated among Judah in the southern lands of Judea, became Israel's scribes in charge of keeping the letters of God's written Word from generation to generation. Mind you, these were not born of the children of Israel. They had been dwellers among the nations of Canaan before Israel entered the land. Another group of these Kenites are written of by Jeremiah of how they strictly obeyed their father Jonadab the son of Rechab, to not drink any wine, nor build houses, nor sow seeds, nor vineyards, but to live in tents, like nomads.

By the time of Lord Jesus' 1st coming, a group of these Kenite scribes would side with the Pharisees against Lord Jesus in trying to have Jesus executed, and Jesus rebuked them. (See Matthew 23).

In Solomon's Day, the Canaanites Still Dwell Among Israel

1 Kings 9:20-22
20
And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,
21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
22 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.
KJV

Recall those nations of the land of Canaan which God commanded Israel to destroy, utterly, but they failed in accomplishing that. And Joshua had been tricked into making a pact with a group of those Canaanites to let them dwell among Israel. Thus in Solomon's days, there they still were, bondservants to Israel, drawers of water and hewers of wood for the temple. They would become known as NETHINIMS, which means given to temple service.

1 Chron 9:2
2 Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites,
and the Nethinims.
KJV

We know the "Israelites, the priests, Levites" were children born of Israel. But those "Nethinims"? No, they were the bondservant Canaanites which Israel was not able to destroy. They had worked their way into duties for the temple, which were actually the responsiblity of the Levite priests. No foreigner was even to supposed to approach the Altar inside the temple. But Joshua had made put them in bondservice as hewers of wood and drawers of water for the temple (Joshua 9).

When the "house of Judah" (3 tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi), were taken captive to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, the Nethinims went captive with them, and returned with Judah to Jerusalem after the Babylon captivity. The Book of Ezra describes the 3-tribe "house of Judah" or "kingdom of Judah", went captive to Babylon. Then ten northern tribes had already been scattered long before that, so they were no longer in the land, and were not part of this Babylon captivity of the Jews.

Note what Ezra 2 reveals about these returning Nethinims...

Ezra 2:58-59
58 All the
Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
59 And these were they which went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer:
but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
KJV

At the returning of the remnant of Israel from Babylon back to Jerusalem, Ezra views the people and sees none of the sons of Levi among them returning. Can't fulfill the duties temple worship that was required back then without Levite priests. Look at what then happens to solve this...

Ezra 8:15
15 And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days:
and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
KJV

Ezra 8:16-17
16 Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
17 And I sent them with commandment
unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
KJV

Ezra sent them to Iddo, a chief of the Nethinims?? Remember, the Nethinims were descendents of the Canaanite foreigners that crept in among Israel. Ezra thus sends Iddo, a head Nethinim, to Babylon, to bring back to Jerusalem Levite priests.

At times it is very important to go into the Bible languages for names of people and places, because it often reveals part of God's Message in a Bible Chapter, gets the point across even stronger. That should be done here with the names of the Levite priests that Iddo the Nethinim brings back...

Ezra 8:18-20
18 And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

"Mahli" (OT:4249) - per Brown, Driver, Briggs Hebrew lexicon, means 'SICK'. The "sons of Sick" is how that can be read in the Hebrew.

"Sherebiah" (OT:8274) - Per BDB, "Jehovah has scorched".

Those Levites don't exactly represent positive priests chosen by the head Nethinim Iddo, do they?

19 And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
20
Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
KJV

Who else, and as a much larger body, does Iddo select to bring back to Jerusalem? More of his foreigner Nethinim brethren, 220 of them! Twenty something Levites, but two hundred and twenty Nethinims; shows bias by Iddo don't ya think?

Neh 3:26
26 Moreover the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that lieth out.
KJV

Do you know where that Ophel was? It was in the City of David. Its hill was south of the Temple area, and the hill was the site of the original city of Jebus built by the pagan Jebusites, which would become renamed Jerusalem. So there they were, the Nethinims, and they had crept into the City of David right next to the Temple in Jerusalem, and dwelt on a high place, a hill with a tower. What all might that represent? Like Jude 4 said...

Jude 3-4
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are
certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
KJV

Jude reveals two major events about those "crept in unawares" among God's people. For one, they were ordained to that condemnation, meaning to work part of the negative side of God's Plan of Salvation. How's that? Those would make up the party that would have Lord Jesus crucified, the scribes of the Kenite foreigners among the Jews. And because the Nethinims also became powerful among the children of Israel, some of them also became priests in Israel, having worked their way up from their temple bondservice to the Levites. And secondly, some of them would deny Christ Jesus by that "turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness", which means using even the Church pulpit as false preachers against Christ (see 2 Corinthians 11).

Therefore, by the time of Lord Jesus's 1st coming, the stage was set. The main instigators behind Jesus' deliverance were not flesh born Israel, but foreigners of the Canaanite nations that had crept in among the children of Israel. It was they who coerced the children of Israel to agree to have Jesus executed, even as the crooked elders of the Pharisees had their own criminals among the crowd to stir them up with, "Crucify Him!"

But per Ezra 9, the real damage of the "crept in unawares" had been done, when to Ezra was revealed that the children of Israel during the Babylon captivity had taken wives of the Canaanite leftovers, and had children by them...

Ezra 9:1-4
9 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, "The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass."

3 And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.

4 Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
KJV

In Ezra 10, it was proclaimed, and agreed upon with Israel's elders, to put away their Canaanite wives and their children born to them. It then began an agressive rain.

Ezra 10:11-14
11 Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do His pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.
12 Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, "As thou hast said, so must we do.
13 But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.
14 Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us."

It would seem things are that simple, but God's Word reveals they are not.

This matter is the 'bitter' in the belly part when Apostle John took the Book and ate it. It was sweet to the taste (Salvation part), but bitter in the belly (the mystery of iniquity part).

In Lord Jesus' parable of the sower, He used agricultural terms to reveal that we must get rid of His enemies from among us represented by the fowls eating up the seed, and the stones and thorns which prevent the seed from taking root and growing. Only then will the seed of The Word take root in those who hear it, and will remain, and produce much fruit. Thus recognizing Christ's enemies instead of being nonchalant about them is a requirement in order for us to bear fruit in Christ. And per the very last verse of Zechariah 14, which is Christ's future Millennium reign time, only then will the Canaanite no more be in the house of God.

What do we in Christ do then? How do we counter Christ's enemies that work against the Church?

What we are to do is to STAY in HIS WORD... and not man's word. God's Word as written is the Measure to compare against all things of this world. So brethren, just how much... of God's Word are you familiar with?

Apostle Paul told Timothy to study to show himself approved of God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing The Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Becoming a "workman" in God's Word means getting a working knowledge and understanding in The Bible. It is not about playing religion.

With a working understanding in God's Word, we are then able to separate the false doctrines of men from God's Truth in His Word, and that is how we can recognize Christ's enemy, and even help those deceived who don't know any better that may unknowingly be doing the work of Christ's enemies. But relying on our emotions only when we hear someone speak of Christ or The Bible simply represents oneself as an easy prey for Satan's wolves. Get in The Word, stay in The Word, and check all your teachers out in The Word to see if what they are saying actually is The Word of God.

The Orthodox Jews are still under the spell of the 'workers of iniquity'.

Now we come to more modern times after the "house of Judah" (or Jews) were separated from the main body of Israelites, the ten northern tribes. After Judah's captivity to Babylon, which the ten tribes were not involved in, the majority of the "house of Judah" chose to remain in Babylon, because God had promised to take care of them during that captivity, and numbers actually increased. Only a small remnant of the "house of Judah" actually returned to Jerusalem after their Babylon captivity to build the 2nd temple, Jerusalem and the walls again.

The majority of the Jews remaining in Babylon were then later scattered through the countries like the ten northern tribes had been about a hundred and twenty years earlier. God had warned them in Deuteronomy 4 & 28 that He would do this scattering to Israel if they fell away from Him. Yet one branch of Israel, the ten lost tribes, would come into The Gospel of Jesus Christ as a majority, while the Jews of the "house of Judah" would remain in the Jew's religion, Orthodox Judaism, which involved the traditions of the foreigner scribes and Jewish Pharisees of which some were against Lord Jesus and those He rebuked.

In Jeremiah 24 God revealed to His prophet Jeremiah what He would do with the "house of Judah" at Jerusalem in the latter days, and also to 'others' that were among them. This involves the Orthodox Jew's situation still today in Jerusalem, and in the world that do not believe on Jesus Christ as The Messiah, but still follow the Jew's religion. To understand who the evil basket of figs represent, one would have need to study their Bible history prior about the "crept in unawares" and "mystery of iniquity" which I covered much of in my previous posts on this thread.

Jer 24
24 The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

God gives His prophet Jeremiah a vision of two baskets of figs, set before the temple in Jerusalem. The event of the Jew's Babylon captivity is shown linked to the prophecy, as the Jews of the southern "kingdom of Judah" were carried away captive to Babylon by king Nebuchadnezzar. Along with the three tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi that went captive also were the remnant out of the ten tribes that had sided with Judah, and the temple bondservants of the Canaanites, the Nethinim foreigners of the same, and certain foreigners that had crept into the priesthood (see Ezra 2 about these when they returned with Judah after the captivity, and then their genealogy of Israel not being found were put from the priesthood).

2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

One basket of figs, good ripe figs, good to eat. There's two main types of figs that originate in the middle east, the Smyrna fig which is sweet, good to eat, and the Capri fig, or 'goat' fig, which is bitter and not good to eat. So God's natural horticulture follows this two baskets of figs symbology also.

Jeremiah describes the other basket as very naughty figs, which could not be eaten they were so bad. Those represent the bitter fig.

3 Then said the LORD unto me, "What seest thou, Jeremiah?" And I said, "Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil."

We know figs are not evil. And the Hebrew word for evil there does mean that, morally evil, wickedness. This begins to reveal that God is using these baskets of figs to represent peoples.

4 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

5 "Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good."

God then compares the good basket of figs to those of the "house of Judah" (Jews) that were carried captive to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon.

6 For I will set Mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

This prophecy God gives is about their future return in the latter days. God also promised in the above that when He did bring the Jews back to the land, that He would not remove them again, but instead would build them. That is a very, very important promise.

The last time the Jews were scattered was in 70 A.D. when the Roman army destroyed Jerusalem and the temple. Since that time, the Jews had never returned to Jerusalem-Judea as a nation. Only in the latter centuries did the Orthodox Jews begin to trek back to Jerusalem, in stages. In 1948 the Jews had returned in groves, and there was a United Nations vote by the nations to make the Jews the nation of Israel again.

Was 1948 when Israel officially became a nation again the fulfillment of the above prophecy, that God would return them, and not pluck them up (scatter them) again? I think so. Today's Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem already have the materials ready to build their 3rd stone temple and startup old covenant worship with temple sacrifices again. That's a major pointer to how far they have been built back up like the old nation of Israel. A major difference though is, the ten lost tribes are not there with them, and today's Israel involves only a small portion of the original holy lands which God promised to Abraham and to Israel. And of course, the majority of those Jews in today's nation of Israel still reject Jesus of Nazareth as The Messiah of Old Testament Scripture.

What God has done with bringing those Jews back to the holy land after their Babylon captivity, and in the latter days setting them up as a nation again, is about keeping His promise that He would always leave one tribe at Jerusalem for David's and Jerusalem's sake (1 Kings 11).

7 And I will give them an heart to know Me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be My people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto Me with their whole heart.

That is very true in today's Jerusalem, as especially in view of the Ultra-Orthodox Jews who are the strongest advocates to build the 3rd stone temple and start up old covenant worship again. The Jews in today's Jerusalem are very much against idol worship and paganism which got them scattered in the first place. So their heart has turned back to The LORD.

Yet they still have a problem amongst themselves, the same old problem that caused their fall before, and which has caused their rejection of Lord Jesus as The Christ, Who was well written of in The Old Testament scriptures.

Jer 24:8-10
8
And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:

Zedekiah, king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar had all his son heirs killed before him, and then Nebuchadnezzar had Zedekiah's eyes poked out and put in chains and carried captive to Babylon where Zedekiah died. This evil basket of figs went captive along with the Jews of the "house of Judah". They had become religious Jews dwelling among those born of Judah, Benjamin, Levi, and a remnant of the ten tribes. But they were actually foreigners of the Canaanites and the nations that had crept in.

Thus this prophecy is that the evil basket of figs would dwell among the Jews, and basically be identified along with them as Jews. (remember Jesus' parable of the tares of the field?).

9 And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.

If you weren't paying attention to our Heavenly Father closely in the above, then you'd think He was still talking about the good basket of figs represented by Judah (or "house of Judah", the Jews actually born of Israel). No, He is talking about the evil basket of figs still here. These 'false' Jews, foreigners of the Canaanites and pagan nations that crept in among Judah especially, and became bondservants and temple Nethinim servants to Israel, are who God is speaking about at this point. For true Judah, the good basket, God had already promised to bring them back to the land and build them, and not pluck them up again.

But these "tares" that had crept in unawares, they would be scattered into all kingdoms for their hurt, to be a reproach and proverb, a taunt and a curse. And they would claim... to be true Jews.

10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
KJV

The above would make one think that God had reversed His promises to the good basket of figs represented by true Judah per verse 6 above. Not so, because as we can see today those Jews are well established and blessed by God in today's nation of Israel. The "crept in unawares" were among the children of Israel from the start, so God's promises were given when they also were dwelling among the children of Israel. And they have been like thorns in in the side of the children of Israel all along.

Lord Jesus said the following to the Church of Smyrna and to the Church of Philadelphia, the only two Churches He had no rebuke for...

Rev 2:9
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of
them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
KJV

Rev 3:9
9 Behold, I will make
them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
KJV

Many brethren confuse the above statements Lord Jesus made, and wrongly think He was talking about all the unbelieving Jews who rejected Him. No, Lord Jesus was pointing specifically to the "tares", the "crept in unawares", which the enemy the devil had sowed. They are 'false' Jews, meaning they are of the foreigner Canaanites that crept in among Israel which Israel was not fully able to destroy that God had commanded. Lord Jesus in His parable of the tares of field basically showed to leave them (tares) alone, and at harvest time (end of this world), His angels will separate them from the good wheat (God's people).

This is How Today's Orthodox Jews Will Be Deceived

Because the evil basket of figs still dwell among true Judah, while claiming to also be Jews, and... many of the evil basket of figs false Jews long ago took over Moses' seat of the law (Matt.23:2), they are the main religious influence for the unbelieving Jews still today, in both the nation of Israel, and in the world.

And their zealous urge to build a 3rd temple in Jerusalem and startup old covenant worship again is a major sign of those "tares" still deceiving true Judah away from The Gospel and Jesus of Nazareth as The Messiah. And for this reason, God is going to send the Jews a "strong delusion" involving a false-Messiah that will have the power to work great signs, wonders, and miracles here on earth in the sight of men (2 Thess.2; Matt.24:23-26).

What has become even more dangerous to one's soul, is how some Christian Churches have been helping those unbelieving Jews in preparing to build their future 3rd temple, and startup sacrifices per the old covenant again. The Orthodox Jews heavily promote trips for the Churches to join in and support the Jew's future great work in Jerusalem. Thus the "crept in unawares" are not only among unbelieving Judah, but also among our own brethren in the Christian Church. The western Christian nations where the majority of the ten tribes migrated to, represent the other nation of Israel today, as Israel is still divided into two nations to this day per Bible prophecy (see Ezekiel 37:22). So we in the Christian nations are not immune to this problem of the "crept in unawares" either, as the Canaanites also immigrated among the other tribes of Israel long ago too (see Judges 2 & 3).
