What is important to understand is that the man of lawlessness cannot appear until the fullness of iniquity is reached in the church. There are spiritual forces at work...that have been building up momentum since the beginning of the heavenly rebellion.

He's already been here if you drop the vibes and read the bible instead.

It depends if you are seeing with natural eyes or by the Spirit.

In the natural...the Jews, for example, always try to eliminate the prophetic word to something that is already past...not realizing that things happen over again and again as a pattern....a spiritual pattern.

Unbelievers are limited to seeing in a way that misses the truth of it.

So anyone who disagrees with you is an "unbeliever"?

But you have to do more than read the bible...you are to understand it. Your idea of "vibe" is a layman's term for spiritual and prophetic. To you these are meaningless terms. But to others....they point the way of truth.

So rather than display your lack of spiritual life here...try to be respectful of others who have co me to a deeper understanding and experience of what the bible is trying to convey.

    Thanking you in advance...

Only those who deny the truth...at the depth it was written at. Like the Jews who had a zeal for God...but lacked understanding.

What else do you want to call those who are religious but have no understanding of the truth?

I call these "religious unbelievers." ...having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof...as "vibes."

How do you always manage to concoct your own doctrines?

    Strong's Concordance (458)
    anomia: lawlessness
    Original Word: ἀνομία, ας, ἡ

    Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
    Transliteration: anomia
    Phonetic Spelling: (an-om-ee'-ah)
    Definition: lawlessness
    Usage: lawlessness, iniquity, disobedience, sin.

    Thayer's Greek Lexicon
    STRONGS NT 458: ἀνομία
    2. contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness: Matthew 23:28; Matthew 24:12; 2 Thessalonians 2:8

Where is the mixture of holiness with wickedness in this? They are poles apart.

"The Mystery of Iniquity" is the fact that -- even after the Flood -- God has allowed Satan and his evil spirits to work on humanity and produce lawlessness, wickedness, and idolatry on this earth. It is NOT mixed with holiness.

The culmination of this evil influence will occur when the Antichrist (the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, the Beast) takes TOTAL CONTROL of this earth for 3 1/2 years, sits in the future temple at Jerusalem and blatantly claims that he is God and Christ, while blaspheming them.

I had written on this in a thread on Christian Apologetics:

    INIQUITY

If sin and transgression are continued and become a life style, they become iniquity...this causes spiritual death.
    Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

    Jeremiah 14:10
10Thus says the LORD to this people, “Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore the LORD does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.”

The O.T. also speaks about the iniquities of the fathers being passed on to the sons up to the third and fourth generation.
    Exodus 34:7
7who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

Iniquities are passed on,,,not imputed to the children and grandchildren.
    How?
    1. The children hate God.
    Exodus 20:5
5“You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,

    2. High blood pressure, alcoholism, jealousy, etc. are passed down from generation to generation.

    3. James speaks to this:
    James 1:15
15Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

And you say what is true and what isn't?

Why make me out to be something I'm not instead of producing scripture to back your claims?

You will just say that whatever verses you don't understand are done away with. You have declared the ongoing covenant obsolete...from your own imagination and interpretation.

Imagine claiming to believe in what you claim is obsolete. So it is impossible to convey any truth to you. You have rejected the Spirit AND the word.

The problem is, you cannot support any of your theories with scripture. And they are nothing more than that, theories.

Everything I say, apart from conversations, is supported with scripture. The fact that you can't see that tells me everything about how you perceive truth...or not. You are reading everything by a carnal understanding. So then if I quote a spiritual passage....you will not understand what I'm talking about. Add to that that you don't investigate to any depth...as in...you read only to respond quickly...so that the exchange does not benefit you.

Prophetic and spiritual things are not theories...they are mysteries revealed to those who have life from heaven. It is only as spiritual things are compared with spiritual things that understanding can come about. Without that living reference...it's all dead. So you are on the outside looking in...and not perceiving what is being communicated.

Why not stick with Paul's teaching about the mystery of iniquity and learn from him? Instead of disregarding all he says about it and launching into uncharted territory without any scriptural support?

You and Dave are quite the pair. Your view is not according to understanding.

Iniquity is holding the truth...but in unrighteousness. In Hebrew it is "Avon". It is the sin of the Pharisees.....religious hypocrisy.

Many Christians can't see this because they are stuck so deeply in it.

You mean speculate as you do..

What I teach is based on the whole bible....or...the whole counsel of God. It has to work through both testaments and multiple angles. Once a 3 dimensional overview can be made...then you see it for what it is.

If you only take one coordinate...you could be diametrically opposed to the truth.

Any navigational tool uses more than one coordinate to zero in on a location. There is longitude and latitude. But you are not open to simple logic...so I'll stop there.

You are overstepping Paul teaching beyond what he said about the mystery of iniquity, ignoring what already happened.

If you go beyond scripture, you add to God's words.
“Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you, and prove you to be a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)

You aren't seeing that iniquity didn't start in 2 Thes.

Take a look at the thickness of the bible. Now start doing actual seeking through ALL of it. And praying helps too. ;)

You are always taking away from the word...so it appears that way to you. I am INCLUDING the whole counsel of God...always.
