Once simple question:

The devil is the spirit and god of this world, the prince and power of the air. He made himself the first enemy of God, and now makes himself the enemy of God and man. He continues to think only evil against God, and tempting man to do the same.

Is the devil dead or alive? Is he a living spirit or a dead spirit? Because he certainly is still spirit with a mind of his own.

"It's not that we cannot have the right answers, but that we must first have the right questions." (Nancy Willard)

Since God is the only living Spirit, then the devil must be a dead spirit, and yet the devil certainly continues with an evil heart and mind of his own.

The Devil is the Un-Holy Spirit.
He is alive and well, and uses people to write endless Threads about self effort to try to go to heaven.
As you know.

The nature of spiritual death therefore is simple: the spirit is dead and separated from the life of God, while the heart and mind continue to think and intend evil.

The angels have no second chance to be created new and alive again, while man does, but only while still in the flesh.

We repent of sinning in this life, or we continue on spiritually dead as the devil.

Lucifer did not cease to have a thinking heart and imagining mind, when he died spiritually, neither does man.

And even as it did not end for Lucifer and the angels in hell, but their hearts and minds continue in evil, so will evil man beyond the grave.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The only life after death of the body, is the spiritually alive in the presence of Christ, awaiting the resurrection of their mortal bodies.

The spiritually dead of both angels and souls of men, are reserved in chains of darkness, while the heart and mind knows the righteous judgment to come.

The wish of man not to be tormented forever by unrepentance in this life, is natural and even sensible.

However, the wish to be dead without any thought of mind at all after the flesh, is false.

Like the devil that men serve unto the end in this world, souls of men continue spiritually dead condemned with the shame of being evil in heart and mind for ever.

The teaching of a living spirit and god of this world is false.

There is only one Living Spirit and God.

God is the Holy Spirit.
Man is the "fallen" nature, that is separated from God, needing a "New" birth, of the spirit. = born again.

Animals have a spirit.
Angels have a spirit.

Jesus "cast's out demonic spirits"., that you say dont exist.

So as usual, Robert, you teach nothing related to truth, nothing related to the NT, and you certainly are motivate to do it.

Jesus "cast's out demonic spirits"., that you say dont exist.
As usual, you twist others words to reject them. But no surprise, you do the same with Scripture.

When you address the teaching properly, you can try again.

Animals have a spirit.
Angels have a spirit.
Making the spirits of angels and men the same as animal spirits, is spiritually comparing us with the animals.

That is denying we are the only living creatures on earth made in the image of Christ.

Angels and men have minds of the spirit, animals don't. They have hearts, but no hidden man of the heart like angels, that have power to think, intend, and imagine to do good or evil.

The spirits of animals return to God that made them. The souls of men either appear in the presence of the Lord at death of the body, or awake with sinning angels in hell.

For God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.

The argument is against the spirits of angels and souls of men ever becoming 'extinct'. There is no heaven or oblivion.

This is demonstrated by the example of angels, who by sinning, become spiritually dead and no more alive as created by God, and yet are reserved for judgment in hell. And the first sinner and leader of rebellion against God, still continues to think and do only evil, as well as tempt others to do the same.

Spiritual death of the soul continues with a heart and mind to think and intend and understand.

Flesh and blood dies and becomes bone only, even like rock with no heart nor mind.

The souls of men are not flesh and blood only, but are created with the living Spirit of Christ, whom we become dead to by sinning as the angels sinned.

We just aren't cast into hell with them, without the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ to repent, be forgiven, and saved from spiritual death.

Although the devil is the master of deception Robert, and would love and has been quite successful in convincing many that he doesn't even exist, he is very much real and alive sir. He exerts great power and is quite successful in the war he has declared on Jehovah. The Bible states he drug a third of the angels with him, and Jesus stated the vast majority of mankind would choose the road to destruction, which of course are those who follow satan. I know you know he is alive, and that he has not been cast into the lake of fire yet. The next step for satan and the demons is their removal and binding from the earth during the time of the millennial reign of Christ. Then he gets released back on the earth again, so yes even though he is dead to God, what you really mean, he is literally very much alive.

He's real and still deceives and lies and tempts, but he is not alive, as when Christ first created him.

The only alive and living Spirit is that of God, and them He dwells in.

Spiritual death continues to have mind and heart to think and know, but no life of God:

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

You simply don't know how to read Scripture to prove anything. The subject is about being spiritually alive or dead, and that the spiritually dead can still think, intend, and act.

Rev 12:12 says nothing about Satan being alive, but only full of wrath against God and His people.

Once someone has gone too far in reading all Scripture, with only their own doctrine in mind, then they lose all power to objectively read any Scripture, and simply teach what it is saying, rather than what they want to say.

The Scripture does prove, that even the spiritually dead and cut off from God and the life of Christ forever, is still doing evil and knowing it.

The same for souls separated from Christ by sinning, and yet still walking in the flesh, while spiritually dead in their trespasses and sins.

Natural theology does not know how to make difference between mortal flesh and blood, and eternal spiritual beings.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain.

Scripture shows that the spiritual kingdom, that is not flesh and blood, is divided between that of the Light and Life of Christ, and that of the death and darkness of sin and evil.

The kingdom of God and Christ has been forever, but the kingdom of darkness only began with the sin of Lucifer, and is continued with the sins of man.

Those spirits of angels and souls of men in the kingdom of God, are alive and full of light, and do all things to please God.

Those in the kingdom of darkness, are dead and blind, and do all things to sin against God.

Some angels and men are alive in Christ, and love the Lord, and some are dead apart from Christ, and hate His righteousness.

Angels have no 2nd chance to repent, and neither do men after the grave.

We have presented our evidence Rob. I agree satan is spiritually dead, meaning he has no relationship with Jehovah, but he is very much alive, be not ignorant of this Rob:
(1 Peter 5:8, 9) . . .Keep your senses, be watchful! Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone. 9 But take your stand against him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by the entire association of your brothers in the world.
He may have convinced you he is dead, but he is very much alive and a danger to us sir.
