Note this thread was started by KoT who was found-out as being a banned former member SpiritandTruth. One who is oppressed by evil spirits and thinks he hears from God and it gives him authority. He is addicted to the illusion of power he thinks that gives him, and for that reason doesn't repent. TheWrathOfGod is another alt he started.

DON'T FEED THE TROLLS
There are a lot of people that come and go over time.
And it is true that we are able to judge by the fruits that people bare.
It is the manifestation of the spirit within a person that is tested.
We know what good fruit looks like..
And we know what unripened fruit looks like.
I don't want to say rotten, because sometimes we don't know if it is in the early stages or the end.
When we all start a new journey, this born again road. We have all confidence that everything we say is gospel.
And we want to share that vision and that idea to anyone that will listen. Even to the point of becoming secluded from everyone.
This is pridefulness. And it appears itself as a raging animal. It takes some people a long time to learn humility and kindness..
And you can also tell the maturity level of a true Christian.
We don't call each other names even if we disagree. We discuss things like adults. (we all need more practice with this)
We have learned how to rein in that anger, that if left unchecked just freely flows from the tongue or the fingertips.
Now I seen a lot of people, including myself, grow from that self-righteous holier than thou, all knowing idiot, to someone that is willing to listen, able to reason and debate maturely disagreements, to humble themselves and admit being wrong or mistaken,
and willing to forgive and be forgiven.
And I see that @TheWrathOfGod is a new member here.
Possibly a new babe in the born again journey.
I'm not exactly sure what they are so angry about, and our challenge is to discern if it is sincere or just meant to cause division and be a contagion.
Our challenge as Christians is to not be led into the trap of retaliation.
What fruit does that bare?
But I believe it is a test to try our fruits.
This is a good example where we are able to see if that armour fits right. Maybe it's too loose here or too tight there.
And it's so easy to just be offended isn't it?
We need more confidence. Not in the way of biting back or returning name calling. A maturity in confidence.
Where no weapon formed against us will succeed.
And though some newbies don't even realize they themselves are being used as the weapon that makes us all stronger.
Our challenge is not to judge another's servant. We don't know what the Lord's plan is for @TheWrathOfGod.
We don't put aside our hospitality because others are inhospitable.
We don't become argumentative because others lead us into fruitless arguments.
Our challenge is to rise above the deceptive ways we are led to greive even the Holy Spirit within ourselves.
I can see the Lord.. Let's see how the garden is doing. Lets toss in a few weeds and tares and see if the husbandmen can remove them without tearing up the garden, Maybe there is a new sapling just beginning to show it's first leaves.
The Bible tells us that it isn't until at least the 3rd year that the fruit should be eaten.
I believe that goes with newbies as well.
It's not our job to chop down the sapling. We are supposed to nourish it and prune it and care for it.
Even if the branches have thorns.. kind of like rasberries and blackberries. You get scratched reaching for the good fruit.
And it's worth it, because there is nothing like a good old fashioned blackberry pie, or rasberry tart.
So I'm not sure where @TheWrathOfGod is on the spectrum of babe to maturity.. or if they are a weed or a sapling.
I don't know if they have introduced themselves in the intro forum, I don't know anything about them.
So here is an open invitation @TheWrath of God to come and tell us a bit about yourself.
Let us get to know you, take some time and get to know us.
But don't come in like a whirlwind filled with destruction to tear this house down.
This House is built upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
And you are either with us or against us..
or maybe your not even sure why your here.
In which case we are here to help you with your journey, while we are walking ours.
Right now you appear as a troll to me.
Prove me wrong.

I doubt it is effective when the person doesn't want the demons cast out. A delusion makes him want to hear from the demons, which he mistakes for God's voice. I also doubt the delusion will be exposed while he practices falsehood. I recommend praying that his lies be exposed and that he would repent of lying. Then he may overcome the delusion which is the foundation for that demonic stronghold.

I was thinking about what you said about people wanting demons cast out...
I don't even know if they know they are in bondage to begin with.
If you are controlled by demonic spirits, do you know it?
If they have always afflicted you, wouldn't that just be the norm?
How can someone who is demonically possessed possibly not practice falsehood when they can't hear the truth?
If you are controlled by evil spirits, is it even possible to see the delusion?
I watch the world everyday from all different angles. Good people/bad people, saved people/lost people.
Happy people/angry people. the Left and the Right/the Up and the down.
Both sides are convinced that they are on the right side.
Problem is, there is only One Truth.
Which reminds me of the parable of water bringing forth sweet and bitter.. both don't come from the same well.
You have to drain one or the other.
You drain bitter water by casting out bad spirits. Then it gets filled with sweet water which brings life.
It can go the other way if we're not careful about how we treat each other.
You can take someone who is filled with sweet water and turn them bitter.
This is the power of the tongue we all have to learn to bridle and control.
We may do it unintentionally, thinking we are doing good, while causing harm.
Challenges are everywhere all the time.
If you are overtaken by a bad spirit... and it controls you..
how does one overcome that bad spirit and seek help?
Do they even know they need help, or are they so enslaved in the mind and heart that they can't see it?
These ones I believe need the most prayer.
Not because they are not seeking help from the Lord,
But that they don't even know or recognize they need help.

Read 1 John 1.
John’s talking about living the Christian life, walking in the light as He is in the light, and then corrects the error that claims Christians can be sinless, by saying IF you say you you have no sin, you lie and deceive yourself, then says that if we confess our sins as believers, God forgives them.
No one is completely sinless but Jesus, which is why we are to repent when we do sin, so we are forgiven.
And we are not to live sinfully, but we will still have some sin.

It sounds daunting doesn't it?
If this is how a person believes, that by repenting and being born again, not only means changing ones inner character, they also have to give up the world on the outside as well.
So what are they left with?
Why bother in the first place to subject oneself to trials and errors when they already know what failure looks and feels like?
Why start, why believe?
Here's the thing though, if their always looking at the what ifs, they'll never know the truth.
If they look at everything like a punishment or a command then there will always a push back.
They don't see the advantages, they only hear commands.
You grow up and you find friends through life. Some are ok, some are only there when they need you for something,
and every now and then you come across a true friend. Someone that's willing to watch your back. And you like them, and you don't want to disrespect them. There is a Trust that can form.
A lot of people don't see Jesus as that friend.
They don't know him because they are too busy worrying about the commands, they look right past his hand holding out.
And they think they are alone to have to overcome all these obstacles alone.
And the church, well, the church can be awfully judgmental, specially when you feel your doing everything humanly possible to change.
They find fault with this, tell you to do that.. more commands and more more more...
Why bother?
Remember that friend? The one that stood with you when everyone else was using you, when they didn't really care about you?
The reason why you came to Him in the first place.. that "feeling" of joy.
Where did that feeling go?
It's still there. It's just that all those commands and demands and worries and fears are piling up, and your friend is nowhere to be seen.
Like a sinking ship.
Until you give those burdens those worries and fears to Him, and you choose to keep clinging to them.. it's going to feel heavy.
The devil is just keep piling more and more doubt, more questions, more more more...
Either side.. fighting for your soul.
And Jesus is standing in this very narrow path waiting for you to walk with him, and leave your worries behind.
He's got your back.
You just have to believe.

The error is in me, not in the Truth.
I'm still learning..
And I don't have a problem understanding the Truth.
I don't always come at it from a simple direction, sometimes there's roadblocks.

If your going by a list, then until you come to that one and figure out what it means, you'll keep doing it until you know it's wrong.
Jesus says something about taking bread because someone is hungry, we don't find them guilty.. right?
(Could of been Paul, I'm not a walking Bible)
So somewhere you have to be taught that taking things from others isn't good.
What if you never been taught that, and you just always took and got away with it?
So now we're faced with a question.
Was the man stealing bread for the hungry, justified?
Who makes that decision?
Who writes that law?
And if it was never a law before then, was you still sinning?
Now once you know something is wrong, and it goes against the one your following,
the one you trust, the one you believe,
You don't want to do it anymore.
Your own self finds it unacceptable.
Not because the world tells you so, but because God's spirit in you tells you so.
Your conscience won't let you.

Sometimes I get talking and I don't always look it up..
There are always consequences of our actions regardless if they have good intentions.
If you know stealing is a sin... then you should find another means to curbing your hunger.
The more I read that verse, the more complicated it becomes.
Just because the theif is hungry doesn't mean he should just be left off the hook for stealing.
What if he is never found, and does it in the next town, and next town...
And the answer is.. The Good Lord has a book. And everything we do is written in it. Be it good or bad.
And there's only one way to settle that debt.
And if you don't know what you don't know, you will surely find out later.
Can you imagine having the authority to judge angels, and I'm stuck on whether to despise a theif or not.
I still got some thinking to do..

I make the distinction between possession and oppression. I think such demons as these can tempt and lie, but they can't override someone's will. Therefore the person is still responsible for their actions. The way such a person becomes free is by believing the word of Jesus concerning obedience and acting accordingly. If the voice in one's head runs contrary to the basic instructions of scripture, it should be a red flag. But people choose to ignore red flags because they think they are God's special agent with a divine mandate.
A lying spirit went to the false prophets of baal, but the true prophet of God, Micaiah, was not deceived. One must ask why Micaiah was spared the deception and God revealed to him the plan of the enemy. Amos 3:7 "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets." He has been warned many, many times. I do not think God would allow someone who actually cares about the truth to be deceived about something so harmful.
Now he is a banned member, and will be banned every time he rejoins with a fake account under a deceptive IP spoofing VPN or proxy connection.

I suppose this won't be the last time the Lord sends challenges our way.
I know a lot of people feel like the house is being infiltrated. And our first response it to protect.
Sometimes I see it as a test to see how well I respond to the conversation.
So on one hand it can be obstructive and on the other it can be constructive.
I guess it depends on if your focus is outward or inward reflection.
I appreciate you Admin.
And I appreciate this Forum.
You have a tough job keeping everything moving smoothly.
I don't recall a time down for maintenance. That used to happen in other forums I visited some years ago.
The respect level for the forum remains high, in my opinion, and that comes from good governance.
