Acts 1:8,

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Can you remember for a time we had the positive thinking preaching going around, and it still may be in some form or another. We had some of our preachers talking about positive confession, and positive thinking but without the understanding of the negative. Without the negative you have no power. Just like a battery, or think about the earths gravitational pull it comes about by polar opposites. We have different poles on the earth that create the pull. Did you know you can magnetize a screw driver or any other metal tool by simply touching it to both ends of a battery.

Our father has set in motion the positive and the negative in the world. This positive and negative are both just as necessary to each other for the power of living. What do they do?
First: they bring us to Christ, nothing like a good dose of the world to bring you to Christ (this starts the life process). So you see through the ugliness of your past to Christ who is your only life now.

Second: the positive and negative bring you to understanding. They have been your teachers even when you didn't know it. They are there to teach you the Christ that is in you now. Can I drop a foot note here; the P and N at work in your life does not change until you come to understanding in knowing Christ as your only life. At that point the P and N still do not change but the way you handle them will. Mind change is taking place and the world as a schoolhouse has a different effect on you now, why? Because you see through all things to the Christ in you who is your life, Galatians 4:1-2,

4 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

We can all be slow to coming to this understanding but once you see everything in the universe has to do with Christ you must incorporate the understanding of the positive and negative into your thinking. As hard as the negative may be at times you will never look at it the same.

This may sound like splitting hairs, but I think that the idea of seeing things in terms of "positive and negative" is a worldly concept in general.

The Bible talks about things in terms of "good and bad," or "good and evil," not "positive and negative." This puts things in context of what God has said. Things are good that He has pronounced as good, etc.

I agree that God uses all things in our lives, even the bad things, which He allows for His own perfect and loving purposes.

Romans 8:28 (NASB)--And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

True, we can call them alot of things such as circumstances and situations (which are the Tudors and Governors of Galatians 4:2).
