The way you express Christ is by what you know about him. It is him living but it will come by your knowledge, what you know about Christ in you. So when Paul referrs to Christ being formed in you, it would be better worded to say "I travail with you until you see through life to Christ and live him in your situations and circumstances." That is Christ being formed in you that you might live him. There are two minds, the mind of the knowledge of good and evil, and the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is his knowledge in your mind, you exchange the old man syndrome knowledge of good and evil for his mind. Allow this mind or we have the mind of Christ. The knowledge of the Lord is in Christ, his knowledge and you learn him to live it.
You must divide soul and spirit to understand completion. You are only complete in spirit and if you judge what you do by your soul-mind you will be wrestling with expression all the days of your life. So the gospel is a completed human being now by Christ in them, and learning about their completion in spirit will be the ultimate in understanding. Why is that? Because no believer can live Christ if they do not understand what happened to them in spirit the moment they believed. Understanding is always pivotal in growing up, your understanding will be everything to you. It makes you who you are because there is no proper expression with out understanding.
For instance; if you still have an Old Testament angry God understanding as a believer that is how you will perceive life. You will always need to appease that anger which of course is a imagination that only exsists in your mind. Why is that? Because the Old Testament God is now your father who birthed you to be his child by Christ (the cross). Why did God have to be the way he was in the Old Testament? Because of who he is, his Holiness and (-underline this-), he had none to be father to. There were no born again in the Old Testament and the sin nature reigned without rule.
In Christ the sin nature nolonger exsists, only an unrenewed mind or better put areas of your mind not renewed yet. Renewing is a life long process that will last as long as you are breathing but in your growing process of learning Christ you begin to claim as Paul did "for me to live is Christ." The mind has renewal to Christ as life and you can understand how Christ could use your creation for expression as you are. He will never come out of you as Jesus of Nazareth, the only way for Christ life expression is through the mind where your expression comes from. The very unique individual you are, your creation, becomes Christ life expression into a world that needs him. They don't need my religiosity they need "Christ in you the hope of glory" with knowledge.
