GRACE, Peace, And JOY...

It is a parable. In fact Jesus gave it, so therefore he was still alive and had yet to present his sacrifice, therefore Lazarus could not have been redeemed and in heaven yet. The parable is about an upcoming change among God's people, a new covenant, with the Kingdom being taken from the Jews, and given to a nation producing it's fruits.
