I agree with you the sabbath is special, but it doesnt make you a better christian or any more saved. I grew up with the same legalistic brainwashing as you. You are saved iregaurdless of what a great sabbath keeper you are. Dont judge a man for what day he keeps. Move on and preach the gospel.
Crooner, it is not a day, it's where you rest. As a Christian, I find my rest in Christ, not just on Friday evening and Saturday, or Sunday, but every day, and I expect you do also.Do yourself a favor and look at the words "abide" and "mansions" in John:Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide
G3306 in darkness. Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide
G3306 with you for ever; Joh 15:6 If a man abide
G3306 not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Joh 15:7 If ye abide
G3306 in me, and my words abide
G3306 in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. Joh 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide
G3306 in his love.Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions:
G3438: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. G3306 μένωmenōmen'-oA primary verb; to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy): - abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for), X thine own.G3438 μονήmonēmon-ay'From G3306; a staying, that is, residence (the act or the place): - abode, mansion.Christians do not need to wait until Christ returns to have a mansion, we are to mansion (abide) in Him now and every day. They can and need to "rest" in Him, Sabbathkriss, just saw your post on the same topic
