If you were asked to summarize what "The Gospel" (or "The Good News") is, in one or two sentences, what would it be?

According to NT Doctrine..
You have,.,
Paul's Gospel, that is given in the "time of the Gentiles', as Paul is the "Apostle to the gentiles".
So, you also have Catholics and other man made religions that will argue that Acts 2:38 is the Gospel.. .
That is #2.
Then, you have the Rapture of the Church, and so, this ends the "time of the Gentiles" where you find, Paul's Gospel.
The Trib, is not the "Time of the Gentiles".. its the time when God resumes His dealing specifically with the JEW< that you had in the OT, right until the "time of the Gentiles" started.
Now, this has ended, and the Gospel that was in effect in the Time of the Gentiles, has ended.
The Trib starts something different.

How would anyone ( but God and Christians in heaven) know he got saved if he lived and died by himself all alone?
People in doubt have always created this hypothetical scenario: " What about those who never heard of Christ" or " What about the starving African infant who dies" and on and on it goes, creating all sorts of situations, trying to create another gate/ doorway into heaven - When Jesus clearly said, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.
People cannot accept that Jesus is the only way. And so people like you say, " I get it, I understand what the Bible claims ... but what about this ... or that ... dig deeper". You are searching for another way into heaven, an excuse.
We cannot concern ourselves with those who already passed on. God judges people based on truth ( reality) that has been given them, revealed to ALL of them.
Romans 1 says man is without excuse .
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, Romans 1:18-20
So, this scripture states no matter a person's knowledge of Christ or not, the TRUTH has been manifest in them, God shows it to them. Jesus is the TRUTH.
That is the inward, spiritual calling of God to all. His attributes are clearly seen and experienced - even by that guy on your hypothetical island. Technically, according to this passage, no one is left out, deprived from the opportunity of realizing and having a relationship with God - no one has an excuse!
In the Old Testament there was the sin sacrifice and then there was a day of atonement which was a yearly sacrifice for the sins of a Nation. And so they had a covering against the sin that was against them.
Now in the New Testament, it says we are made righteous.
We are made holy ,and we ourselves become holy vessels.
There is the cleansing action of the blood of Jesus in the New Testament and we have a great high priest, not just a high priest that served in the temple, but we have a great high priest, a deity seated next to the father and he has made us heirs, and we are a Kinsman to this deity that sits beside the father.
we are Kindred now
we are brethren.
So in the Old Testament they weren't necessarily heirs as we are.
we are joint heirs because of the kinsman redeemer Jesus.
These are components of s better covenant.
We have so much more in this new covenant, than what was available to those early patriarchs.
All the animal sacrifices pointed to Jesus.
That verse you quoted in Romans 1:18 is referring to those with nobody around them.
There have been numerous instances of God meeting people all by themselves and they getting saved via a visitation of Jesus.
To deny that is to put God in a human limitation box.
Paul had no special gospel.
All the apostles, and Jesus had the exact same gospel.
Why have we allowed ourselves to be duped into thinking Paul had a different gospel ????????

Actually what you wrote is not true.
Paul said.>>"the Gospel i received, i received from NO MAN, but by direct revelation from Jesus Christ, Himself".
If you read what Peter preached to the JEWS... in Acts 2:38, you'll read this.....>>"You have slain your Messiah"... and they said... "what must we do".
And Peter said.....>"Repent and be baptized"........and that is John the Baptist's message.....>>Not Paul the Apostle's.
Also, if you own a bible, then read Acts 10... and that is 10 yrs after Jesus is back in Heaven... and you will read that God had to teach PETER.. that gentiles could be saved, as PETER didn't know it, 10- yrs after Jesus is back in Heaven.
IN Acts 15, you will read that all the Apostles gathered with Paul, and he taught them the "Gospel of the Grace of God", that is the "preaching of the Cross, that is the POWER OF GOD unto SALVATION, for everyone who BELIEVES"..
See that '"GOSPEL"? Peter learned it from Paul... and Paul told us that ANY OTHER Gospel, that is preached.. such as Calvinism Gospel, or Water Baptism...........or similar, is this....

Well I cannot speak about Feldick and Breaker and what they teach, but there are two gospels.
1. the gospel of Salvation which is trust in the death and physical resurrection of Jesus for you rsin.
2. The Gospel of the kingdom which was pronounced tro Israel by Jesus and the Apostles and will be pronounced again in the tribulation.
Now in Jesus day it was to announce that Messiah had come.
In the tribulation it is to announce tha tkingdom will come and this gospel of the kingdom also includes the gospel of salvation.
Remember gospel is merely a word that means good news! We have tended to make it something more than that.
I just heard from my doctor that my kidney cnacer is very operable and the prognosis is for a 99%+ full recovery. That is good news! And if I was in Greece that would be "gospel".

23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

You are implying Jesus preached a different gospel than Paul?

If you own a bible ,please note that the Gospel to the gentiles was revealed to Peter years before Paul ever became a believer.
Yes, Paul received the same gospel as peter, John, and James.
The messenger is your focus. And you seek to make God himself confused which of your made up "2 gospels" he tries to center on.
Focus on the fact that because the messenger was God it HAD TO bE THE SAME message of the Holy Spirit.
Those hyper pauline teachers make fools out of their prey.

You say Jesus and Peter preached a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT gospel than Paul, correct?
Your doctrine pronounces a curse on Peter,James, John, And JESUS>

Paul preached and had revelation via the Holy Spirit.
...as did Peter, James , john, and Jesus.
If there are 2 gospels, with every single apostle, save Paul, deceived into a "different gospel" carrying a curse from Paul, then the bible, being written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit, is a cursed book.

Not only read to believe, but become disciple in the whole story and believe.
Because in them Jesus calls us not only to be 'hearers' of His word/teaching, but also 'doers'.
Hence, not only 'believe' in His word/teaching and Him, but also 'abide' by every one of them.
He said for such a 'hearer' and a 'doer' at the same time, is liken unto a wise builder who build his house on the rock.
On the other hand, for such is a 'hearer' and not a 'doer', is liken unto a foolish builder, who build his house on the sand.
Decide you who believe, which 'house' or 'denoimination', will stand the test of time?
Because apparently when calamity strikes both, the foolish one's on the sand did fall and with a great fall it fell.
There's only one Gospel even put together with Paul's, ministered to the Jews and Gentiles period
