Romans 6:5 (NASB20)
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two likenesses, each one being necessary to one’s victory over the fallen life, the faith that puts the two together, is the faith that will walk in newness of life… For Christ had both to die and be resurrected, for both were necessary for the doing away with the old and a bringing forth the new, free to all those that would be willing to grab unto this process of Christ by faith… That being, both His death and resurrection becoming by faith one’s death and resurrection… For we are not left on our own, Christ really and truly did put to death the old life and then birth His life in one’s innermost being so His life might become that one’s very life….
Though with the eyes of flesh, this birth can not be seen, but with the eyes of faith it can be, for He is faithful and true…. So that the one that by faith grabs onto His death, His death becomes that one’s death, and thereby frees that one from sin, and then grabbing onto His resurrection, gives that one the strength, power, and the will to walk in newness of life, if by faith that one steadfastly refuses to grab onto anything else but both His death and resurrection regardless of what the outward life’s desires are… For the two likenesses both have there part to play, the faith that sees the two separate parts and embraces them both, the death and then the life, is the life that will taste the growing of the new creation….
For if these steps are not embraced, though one is saved and one of God’s very own, that one’s life will be forever struggling with their own will, for unless own will is put to death by faith one will be stuck in a Romans 7 situation, continually falling, repenting, over and over, until the time comes when one is so frustrated with themselves one finally accepts their death with Christ by faith, then as it were, the eyes of faith are opened and as the overcoming is tasted, one’s heart will jump out with the joy of faith of their resurrection, so as the new life is embraced and experienced, one’s walking in newness of life becomes a life of such pleasure and joy…
Blessed is that day, when the light of God rises in the heart and one sees, tastes and experiences, the all things come through God by faith…. Because Jesus did die, and blessed is the one that sees the life in those words….
