Does the Mosaic Law describe the way that the righteous live as it describes the life of Christ?

The "Way" of Righteousness is :

John 14:6

6) Jesus saith unto him (us all) , I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Romans 4:21-24

21) And (Abraham) being fully persuaded (Faith) that, what God had promised, God was able also to perform

22 And therefore (Because of Abraham's Faith) was imputed to Abraham for righteousness.

23 Now it was not written for Abraham's sake alone, that (Righteousness) was imputed to him;

24 But for the born again also, to whom Righteousness shall be imputed, if we believe on God that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.

The "Way" of Righteousness is 2 Fold

1.) John 14:6

John 14:6

King James Version

6 Jesus saith unto him (us all) , I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Law of God is the way (1 Kings 2:1-3), the truth (Psalm 119:142), and the life (Deuteronomy 32:46-47), and the way to know the Father (Exodus 33:13), and Jesus embodied the Law of God by setting a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to it, so he is the way, the truth, and the life, and the way to know the Father (John 14:6-11).

2.) Romans 4:21-2421 And (Abraham) being fully persuaded that, what God had promised, God was able also to perform.

22 And therefore (Because of Abraham's Faith) was imputed to Abraham for righteousness.

23 Now it was not written for Abraham's sake alone, that (Righteousness) was imputed to him;

24 But for the born again also, to whom Righteousness shall be imputed, if we believe on God that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.

The issue of the way to become righteous is different than the issue of what describes the way that the righteous live. The only way to become righteous is through faith apart from being required to have first done enough righteous works in order to earn it as the result, but what it means to become righteous is to become a doer of righteous works in obedience to the Law of God (1 John 3:4-7, Isaiah 51:7). The Law of God was never given as a way of becoming righteous even as the result of having perfect obedience to it (Romans 4:1-5), but rather it was given to describe the way that the righteous live as it describes the way that Christ lived. Paul also affirmed in Romans 2:13 that only the doers of the law of God will be declared righteous, so there is a reason why our righteousness requires us to choose to be doers of the Law of God other than in order to earn it as the result, namely faith insofar as the faith by which we are declared righteous apart form works done in order to earn it as the result also upholds the Law of God (Romans 3:28-31).

While it is true that Abraham believed God, so he was declared righteous (Genesis 15:6), it is also true that he believed God, so he was a doer of righteous works (Genesis 18:19), and that he believed God, so he obeying the command to offer Isaac (Hebrews 11:17), so the faith by which he was declared righteous was also embodied through his works, but he did not earn his righteousness as the result of his works. In James 2:21-24, Abraham was declared righteous by his works when he offered Isaac, his faith was active along with his works, and his faith completed his works, so he was declared righteous by his works insofar as they embodied his faith but not insofar as they were earning it as the result.

We become someone who has faith, someone who will be declared righteous, and someone who is a doer of the Law of God all at the same time and anyone who is not one of them is also not the others.

Amen. The reason so many now on this board choose either Paul or Jesus + apostles is because they ignore ALL of what Paul wrote. Romans 6 is a good example of how Paul saw it. We are changed- we died with Christ to sin- and sin no longer rules over us- we now put to death the deeds of the flesh by the Spirit. Paul wrote that he died daily- so must we-as we walk by the Spirit!
It is a very real thing. This is why Paul spoke of it as war within us and needing to put on armour.
Die daily because everyday we are tempted anew by the flesh.

Jesus embodied the Law of God by setting a sinless example

Christ embodies : "the Spirit of Life", and being born again is proof we have eternal life.

The issue of the way to become righteous

There is no way that a sinner can become righteous, of themselves..

"All have sinned, there is none righteous, no not one".............so, God created the WAY,..John 14:6... whereby we can receive from God, "imputed righteouisness"

This way is The Cross of Christ, by Faith, and this is "Grace through faith"...."Justification by faith"... "New Covenant".

so he was a doer of righteous works (

The reason that Abraham was given God's Righteousness, is because without it, he was not righteous, no matter his works.
See, if Abraham's Works could have given him rightousness, then God would not have needed to give Abraham, God's "Imputed Righteousness.""

See that?

And if WE could become righteous, or earn righteousness, then God would have have sent Jesus to The Cross so that by Jesus's Stripes and Death, "many will be MADE Righteous"........Paul Teaches.

So, reader, when you find Heretics trying to save themselves....its because they are not trusting in Christ., and that is why they endlessly rant about the OLD COVENENT.... and LAW, LAW, LAW, and Commandments.
