In the world.—This manifestation in the flesh recalls the pre-incarnate existence during the whole history of the world, and the creative act itself. (Comp. John 1:2-3, Note). The two facts are the constant presence of the true Light, and the creation of the world by Him. The world, then, in its highest creature man, with spiritual power for seeing the true Light, ought to have recognized Him. Spirit ought to have felt and known His presence. In this would have been the exercise of its true power and its highest good. But the world was sense-bound, and lost its spiritual perception, and “knew Him not.”

I am going to share something that goes against most of the common teachings.
Although I used to believe and read this the same way …then I started reading what the Word actually states ...instead of reading what I believe
This does not diminish the nature of Christ, but I believe it sets
this record accurately as God had it written in John_1:1 without having to insert private interpretation....which we have to do if we are going to substantiate the current narrative that religion teaches.

Jhn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
I know how people try to attribute this to Jesus Christ … But that is biblically wrong.
Logos (word) has a wide range of meanings along two basic lines of thought. One is the mind and products of the mind, like reason (thus logic is related to
logos) ….the other is the expression of that reason as, a word, saying, command, etc.
Logos is used in the Greek over 300X and translated over 35 different ways, including ….appearance, book, command, conversation, flattery, grievance, instruction, matter, message, ministry, proposal, question, report rumor, sentence, speaker, speaking,………… and more.
Jesus Christ it's not a lexicon definition of
logos….and it does not say in the beginning was Jesus. The
word (
logos) is not synonymous with Jesus or even the Messiah …..The word
logos in John_1:1 refers to God's creative self-expression…. his reason purpose and plan especially as they are brought into action. It refers to God's self-expression or communication of himself.
Jhn 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Jhn 1:3 All things were made by Him (God);
and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
