What is the world? The world is a system that operates by those that live in it. It has in it the knowledge that controls how things are done to make it habitable. That knowledge is the same knowledge Adam received in the garden. It is a fallen deprived knowledge at best and has no understanding of how to really run the world. If this place was operated by Christ's knowledge (the mind of Christ) it would be even more habitable because there would be the knowledge to feed it's hungry, the knowledge of how to have peace in the world would exsist, or even how to live in a fallen world. The mind of Christ can handle any situation the way it should be handled and the mind is always in a stable atmosphere. The mind of Christ has a feeling for the world but it isn't controled by a feeling, it operates from a different wisdom. What do you get with the mind of Christ? You get Christ, the mind of Christ is him. It is him operating in, through, and out of you in the world by your created expression, the you of ''Christ in you."
How does that work? For the born again it is Christ alive in them. They come to understand how their father uses the world and by Christ they can function in any situation that can arise. Some have said "what if die in a war" or some other kind of situation. The answer is "it does not matter what happens to you in life, what matters is you come to understand the reason for all things and nothing matters to the believer that can say like Paul "if I Iive it's Christ, if I die it's gain." Nothing can control you, do you like being sick "no" but it doesn't matter the Lord is your healer no matter how he chooses to do it.
The power of the mind of Christ is; deliverance from the old mind. The mind that lived in fear from everything, I'm going to die, I'm not going to make it in this old world if I don't get help, how will this world make it in the condition it's in. On and on it goes because the fallen state of man is operated by the spirit of fear. Everything that goes on in the world comes from "the spirit of fear." When you see the violent operating in what looks like no fear it is really fear at a heightened level. The sin nature has in it the spirit of fear and that is what man operates from. Put the knowledge of good and evil with the spirit of fear and you have a unsolvable situation. The only solution is "the mind of Christ," that is what is called a new mind. The old mind will still operate out of fear until it is renewed to the new nature of Christ in you and a new knowledge begins to take hold. Those that I have heard through the years that say the word of God may be outdated or some other fallacy, those stand no chance at renewing their mind because it takes the word of God to renew the fallen knowledge of good and evil.
It will take revelation and time, you will go through many levels of understanding in your lifetime to get the mind of Christ. It takes longer with some "the Lord knows" than others but point is you get on the right road so to speak to getting renewed. You cannot live without moving on in God as he moves you. Moving on in God takes mind renewal and those that can't move for whatever reason will not know the mind of Christ. You can always tell those that are just stuck because they have nothing good to say about about anything, it is always a fear laced rant about the world coming to an end and their afraid to die,
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? - 1 Corinthians 15:55.
We don't glory in death, we glory in life but death hath no more dominion over you. The victory the grave had over mankind is gone, abolished, put out of service and we have the victory over the grave. Glory to God, the mind of Christ is available to every born again Christian in Paul's Epistles.
