What I wanted to say was I rebuked it. With my shoe. Over and over again.
Perhaps you miscounted. In that case you may be forgiven!
(In a negative sense. Periodically we get them in our apartment. They always bite me but never my wife. Is there a message in that?)

(Then next person would say)
And ran fast

Up a hill
(And so on).
