I couldn't fast. I get way too crabby when I'm hungry lol! I used to know somebody that was getting really preachy with it but I don't see it as a big deal because I do believe that it's a personal choice.

I believe fasting is part of a Christians 'weaponry' against the evil one but only do it if led to do so by the prompting of the Holy Spirit or it's worthless as a spiritual exercise. Jesus was led into his wilderness fast by the Holy Spirit.

I would try to avoid social interaction... usually they involve eating anyways. Hey why arn't you eating, how about a bit of this or that, do you feel alright? But suit yourself.

And, if fasting, just make it unknown to others, so good thing to just beg off any dinner/lunch dates...?

I would ask. Did the use of our stomach come as a result of the fall? corruption?
Interestingly food is for the stomach or belly and the stomach was created for food. But we are warned they both will perish in the new order.
Jesus said to the disciples who had just eaten. When they asked if he was hungry. He replied his food was to do the will of God who worked in Jesus empowering Jesus to do the work .
He would not have allowed Eve the bride to eat of that which was forbidden .The second Adam Christ protected his wife the church and ate the food of will of the father.

Having already corrupted the whole first creation .When Cain murdered the martyr Abel. The Holy Spirit again increased the work load which Cain said hell the suffering was more that he could bear
Only those in Christ like Abel could bear it as they walked with Christ the burden yoked with Christ was lighter..
Makes me wonder will the stomach or belly and literal food be part of the new creation that could never die. Could men starve to death in the new order. ?

It's a pickle, and yes whenever possible bail out. But it isn't always possible to bail without explaining yourself, such as holidays. Consider what to do with those before starting, if you can.
Fasting is a way to appeal to God and it improves a persons will power against temptation. Personally I haven't been allowed to fast for some time, God always directs me to eat and I give in. But I'm on meds that make me hungry.
John the baptist fasted, and many other biblical figures including Jesus. It's a spiritual thing with biblical history. I fasted for 3 days a few times and God healed people I was praying for. Fasting works April. But it's not for everyone perhaps.
Yep and I think that it's already been established that it's not for me. XD

My intention was always good when I would start to fast.
Then, out of nowhere there would come food commercials, both TV and radio, and even billboard adverts when I'd travel.
After enough of that on the same day I took them as signs God was saying, eat woman! Eat!
It would be wrong to disobey God.
Oh, look! A pizza!
