Sister, I am paying attention and am sympathetic to the cause. We have much the same going on here in Canada, and it's galling to see. Welcome to the post-Christian era......we sure aren't liking it so far. We've lost the next generation and in a democracy the majority rules, so the future is looking scary...look at all those young people on campuses, still wet behind the ears and supporting barbarians who celebrated the atrocities on 9-11 and Oct 7 and are enemies of the west. The west has lost its way and though we may get a little reprieve and small victories here and there for a short while, ultimately everything is going to depend on how we as the church respond. Are we going to acknowledge God in all this, or toss Him overboard and forget about Him while we try to save the sinking ship by whoever we try to replace Him with?

But since we are Christians and citizens of heaven........let's do ask ourselves where is God in all this, to us? Don't we know that this is HIS doing, because He is judging us? How does the Lord PLEAD with His people....by sending all the preliminary warning judgments - warning shots over the bow, before He finally gives us over to our enemies...unless we hearken to the warning shots and repent. There is so much SIN IN THE CAMP you can hardly tell the difference between the church and the world now......the ways and distractions and mindsets of the world have taken over much of the church (AKA Babylon CAPTIVITY/deception for anyone who knows the bible and understands we are to take warning from the example of Israel).......allowed to spring up and flourish because of watered down, unsound doctrine via the spirit of political correctness and kumbaya, a spirit of stupor (like apostate Israel).

Except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen waken in vain.

even what appears to be small victories are but HEAVY deceptions .
LOOK at how many are running to the ideals behind the religious tolerance and abraham peace accords .
THEY SEE the fact that they MIGHT be protected , BUT HAVE NO IDEA
what its really doing and that IT WONT PROTECT TRUE BIBILICAL JESUS SERVING CHRISITANS at all .
ONLY THE INCLUSIVE will it protect . and the solutions they offer up are FALSE BIG TIME .
more and more churches go this flow . more and more have been doing this
even before the religous tolerance act came about . ITS ALL a deluision sister .
and men who fear men are gonna buy it , men who trust in men are Gonna buy into it .
We should have simply did and preached as did the early church .
THEY NEVER HOPED IN KINGS and POLITICIANS , THEY JUST PREACHED JESUS and taught sound doctrine
and knew and understood we would have persecutions in this world .
WE NEED to become of that mindset . many are not gonna make it sister
because their hopes and cares and trusts were in this life , this world and its men . THAT IS A CURSE SISTER .
a curse and we will soon see why ITS A CURSE . We should have just trusted in GOD , HOPED IN GOD
and learned the truth and been built up in THOSE WORDS for edification . THE HOPE they had
was not in this life or world , IT WAS IN JESUS CHRIST and they hoped in HIS RETURN TOO .
KNOWING In themselves they had a far better treasure , a house , a city IN THE HEAVENS .
this world and its cities and its kingdoms are about to be MOVED AND DESTROYED . but we have
A KINGDOM which can never be moved . ITS TIME the peoples hope and trust in GOD , in CHRIST , in sound doctrine again .

heck not only can you hardly tell the difference between the church and the world
its getting real hard to see the difference between the churches and the mainstream religions too .
they are all unifying under the same common hope and that hope is a false love
that has convinced any and all we do serve the same GOD and are serving the same GOD
if we just love one another . ITS A SHAM from the devil sister .
I am watching muslims do this as well as jews and others . THE MAINSTREAM IMAMS are doing this .
they are merging the religoins together to be as one under what they all THINK WILL BE GOD AND HIS LOVE

not to ideals about love and etc . ANY love that honors any sin

to promote that by saying OH there is no need to beleive HE IS THE CHRIST . EXACTLY . THE DEVIL IS DOING THIS .

It's the spirit of the world, the god of this world........which we are not to follow. The way that seemeth right to man....doesn't end well. People forget God said friendship with the world is enmity with Him.......and that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers....but to come out from among them and be separate and the Lord will receive us.

To not recognize the POTUS has the authority to declassify documents is to surrender to the tyranny of the unelected administrative state. In our system, the people have the power. And this power is delegated through the constitution to the executive branch - not to unelected bureaucrats.

Forgive me, but I don't think your statement is very representative of the article's intent and purpose, which seems to be clear enough from the first paragraph. And even the article itself makes some unsubstantiated claims. Political power and national security have always had a tense relationship.

Also, your assertion seems a vastly over-simplified view of the system of information classification. I sat through many classes on the subject when I was required to have a Top Secret clearance in the Air Force for certain duties. You couldn't go near certain aircraft otherwise.

One time when I had to work on an F-111E in central Europe, my TS wasn't even enough to get me into the secured area of the flight line. A Security Police troop with an M-16 stood over me the whole time I was working. If President Reagan had made an impromptu appearance, he might have been shot. And all I was doing was removing a broken bolt from the pilot's seat assembly.

The fact that the President has genuine executive power over everyone who handles and administers classified information in no way makes him a sovereign arbiter and clearing house of same. It was drummed into our heads that "need-to -know" supercedes all levels of authority and security clearance levels.

Surely it's not hard to imagine the scope of things that transpire without the President's knowledge, and not just because they're too trivial.

Secrets are often kept from the President about things that, while could arguably be considered "his business," are concealed, effectively, to protect him.

This is just how things work, and is a simple matter of history.

I disagree in the strongest possible terms! The departments are subordinate to the chief executive officer. He must have superior authority to all his subordinates IF we are to be a free people.

The challenge in court is the last refuse of those who seek to overturn our Constitutional system.

Classifying State secrets is a plenary power of the Chief Executive. In other words, it is not a power subject to review by a co-equal branch of government.

Which is pretty much the point of the article from The Hill, and has not escaped my attention.

But you're omitting some of the information, which is to be expected, I suppose.

Evidently, 80% of the Bar consists of something called "Demonrats," so it probably doesn't matter how much you read, anyway.

The problem with mass strenuous objection is that anything will suffice to discredit, even if it is internally contradictory.

And I didn't jump to any conclusions, but I definitely know more about the classification of sensitive information than anyone posting the little bit I've read of this echo chamber thread.

And since I have no political leanings whatsoever, I'm sure the end of my participation in this discussion will be welcome to most of those involved.
