Will the Trump peace plan for Israel work?
The answer is no for two reasons.
One. The Palestinians will not accept it because it does not give them the whole of the West Bank.
Two. It gives the Palestinians 70% of the West Bank but it is not his to give because God has given the land of Israel to the Jews and nothing will change that.
The Promised Land was a covenantal promise of land, for a particular period of time, which was in response to the interchange between God and Abraham in Genesis 15:7-8, which began when Israel Crossed the River Jordan and ended in AD 70 when God scattered the nation of Israel to the four corners of the planet out of the Promised Land, because of their continual idolatrous behaviour during the first two ages of their existence, to confirm that the lord will give Abraham and his descendants the whole earth, under the heavens, (Dan 7:27), at the end of the Age of the Ages. In Genesis 12:1, God asked Abraham to walk within an earth that he would show him and in Genesis 12:7, God promised to Abraham that He would give the whole earth to Abraham's descendants.
In Ezekiel God's prophetic word is that He will gather all of Israel to Himself and teach them about His statutes and the foundation of the mountains of Israel, where He will find them living at that time and that he will redeem them and renew once again the same covenant that Israel rebelled against at Mt. Sinai, the Kingdom of Priests, a Holy Nation and His Possession among the Nations Covenant.
For Israel to be a blessing to all of the Nations, Israel must remain scattered throughout all of the nation on the earth at that time.
God in Genesis 15:16 told Abraham that some of his descendants will return to the land, where he was living at that time, during the fourth age of their existence, through their own strength and not with the backing of the Lord. God also said that when they returned, in the fourth age of their existence, with 1948 being the time of their return as we understanding it to be today, that the iniquity of the Amorite People will still have a little way to go to reach the fullness of their iniquity.
As such, the understanding I have today, is that since the Return of some of Abraham's descendants to the land of Canaan seeking to re-establish Israel's connection with God was the sign that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:32, the sign of the budding of the Fig Tree, occurred in 1948. Any claim to the Land of Canaan by the present nation of Israel is a claim that is not supported by the scripture and as such this claim is adding to the tribulation that will be suffered by Israelite people which is know as the time of Jacob's Trouble.
We need the wisdom of God to discern God's will in this matter.
Shalom
