The SPR can be drawn down at a maximum rate of 4.4 million barrels per day, which means that, if used alone, it could supply oil for roughly 94 days at full drawdown capacity However, this rate is insufficient to fully offset major global supply disruptions, such as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which blocked 11–16 million barrels per day

Beyond the SPR, the United States holds tens of billions of barrels in proven underground reserves, primarily in Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota, Alaska, and the Gulf of America . These reserves, combined with commercial inventories, support a daily crude production capacity of over 12 million barrels . Under normal domestic consumption and production patterns, these reserves could sustain U.S. oil needs for several months to over a year, depending on consumption rates, production adjustments, and emergency drawdowns.

My Husband and I used to be over the road truckers. Owner operator.
Had one of those House on wheels. Kenworth.
Ours was White.



Lost it back in 2012? when the economy took a dive.
I know how much diesel cost. Back then it was nearing the $5 a gal , and it took about 100/150 gal to go 500 miles.

I hope your friend was able to find what he needed.
I'm just saying, there is no shortage of diesel fuel, that doesn't mean the places he went to hadn't had thier delivery of fuel that day.
Lot of times out on the road you stop in a truckstop and they would be out of fuel. Have to wait a few hours for the fuel trucks to come and fill up the tanks.
