There is no divine meaning in having kids other than be fruitful and multiply. Jacob's name means "supplanter". Jacob contended with Esau, Laban, and then wrestled God. His name was then called Israel, which means "the prince that prevails with God".

I really do not know Roger unless you look at dispensationally. It was before the dispensation of law but then there is Adam and Eve, but that was the age of innocence.Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
