I your love for your babies conditional? While I believe God's love for us is very sacrificial, I would not say it is unconditional or without requirements.

No. It is sacrificial.I your love for your babies conditional?
So you mean, you will sacrifice for then even when you have conditions for that love? No. It is sacrificial.
YesSo you mean, you will sacrifice for then even when you have conditions for that love?
So let me clarify my understanding of what you are saying.
I don't believe unconditional love is a thing. Everyone has conditions, even if one of them is just leave the one doing the loving alive. God has a standard or conditions for those He loves because He is love and knows what is best for us.So let me clarify my understanding of what you are saying.
Your love is conditional, ie you will stop loving them when or if they break your conditions but at the same time sacrifice for them?
In other words, you will stop loving them but still sacrifice for them.
If this is the case it sounds contradictory to me.
I would say what you have stated is superimposing your disposition onto God.I don't believe unconditional love is a thing. We disagree then.I would say what you have stated is superimposing your disposition onto God.
Give what you have said some more thought.....considering it in the light of Jesus' sermon on the mount and his behaviour towards the people he interacted with.We disagree then.
Sister, how do you see these scriptures fitting together?I don't believe unconditional love is a thing. Everyone has conditions, even if one of them is just leave the one doing the loving alive. God has a standard or conditions for those He loves because He is love and knows what is best for us.

And your position is NOT superimposing your disposition onto God? God's standard is totally conditional; IF you do what he says, THEN you will be saved. What are you talking about? God loves you so much, he lets you get away with anything? You confuse love with license.I would say what you have stated is superimposing your disposition onto God.
Salvation is available to everyone because of His love. But He never forces anyone to receive His love. Jesus still weeps for those who choose to reject God's love. Scripture says that God will wipe away every tear ....future. Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Jesus died for us unconditionally. He gave His life for everyone knowing many wouldn't receive the free gift He paid for. This is unconditional love ....salvation is conditional, His love is not.And your position is NOT superimposing your disposition onto God?
