Was Jesus an Essene?

This isn't a topic I'm familiar with, but I've seen it brought up elsewhere. There seem to be some similarities between what the Essenes believed and what Christians came to believe. Water baptism, for instance, isn't found in the Old Testament, but the Essenes practiced a form of it. So, was Jesus an Essene or at least influenced by them? And if so, is that necessity a negative thing? I'm curious to know people's opinion about this, both for and against it.

The Essenes, a Jewish sect from the Second Temple period, were known for their strict adherence to Jewish law, communal living, and belief in divine predestination and apocalyptic events. They emphasized ritual purity, ascetic practices, and the importance of prophecy. Some also believed in the immortality of the soul and the coming of a Messiah

I do not feel, and this is just my opinion so I can be corrected, He would fit into this, Jesus had no problems going against the Jewish Laws for the sake of love and healing a sin sick soul, He broke the Sabbath, he associated with sinners, the rituals of purification, were not for salvation, but only a conformity to those laws. Jesus told us to certain rituals in remembrance of Him, Baptism is an outward show of conversion it does not save us.

So I would say He wasnt
