The Recovery Bible, although having dubious interpretations in parts, does correctly translate with the literal Greek word allotment in addressing those of like precious faith in 2 Peter 1:1 . A comparison with his opening address in his earlier letter is along similar lines, namely to those "chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father" 1 Peter 1:2.People also need to remember He is the Apostle to the Gentiles. The good news to the Gentiles will be presented in a totally diffewring way than to the Jew. Gentiles were ignorant of the law and not bound by th elaw. So How pAUL PRESENTED THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF jESUS FOR SALVATION TO GENTILES WOULD BE VERY DIFFERENT TO THE GENTILES.
Paul has to contend with the issue of salvation being "alloted on the basis of foreknowledge" to the Gentiles alongside the Jews, which issue was the subject ruled on at the Council of Jerusalem, Acts 15.
