Yes, we do have areas of our lives that haunt us in our flesh. Ask God to hate sin as much as He does, then from there on out, thank Him daily that He will answer your prayer to be more like Him...
Keep practicing the fruit of the Spirit:
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Galatians 5:22-23
When tempted, thank Him that He will give you a way out of temptation. Just say to yourself when you are doing the things you know God does not want...just say, "That is not the new me, that old man has died and I am a new creature in Christ, amen and thank God!!!"
