I'm not too worried atm. We used to get huge amounts of spam when the original owner ran it. I'm sure @doughty has some ideas on how to deal with spammers a lot quicker then have had been in the past

Spam is not the worst thing out there we have hackers and lost in the world who don't know who christ is and baptized them is priority aswell.

most of them post links to porn i am in another forum the other morning i discovered like 6 or 7 different post the put links in.. i reported it

We have been under spam attacks for a week or so now. We are doing our best. Fortunately the administration and programmers have made it very easy to ban these folks and erase all their posted material.

I have to wonder if it might be we got a malware ad? Not up on that, just a thought..

Only a problem with a computer that gets malware by a click, i.e Microsoft. Rather, phishing is more of a problem with other operating systems where they try to coax info from a person with a fake but realistic looking site (e.g. asking for log in and password). On other threads, people talk about Bill Gates a lot and the NWO. That's probably true and I have to ask why would anyone want to use that virus-infested and buggy operating system to begin with? Especially on sites like this where Christians are seen as conspiracy theorists - one does not want to go out on the Internet with that operating system..

Never owned a MAC but my brother will only use one. I'm fine as I have my windows defender and AdBlock plus, never get any malware or viruses...so far!

you mean those bots who talk amongst themselves and then advertise their site while worshipping it in theit talks? I haven't encountered any of those yet in this site maybe because I'm a judge

In my experience, CyB is very good at keeping spammers away. I only recall one or two incidents. I'd go to my active threads to find a post totally unrelated to the topic. Same with other threads before I realized the poster was a spammer.

I wonder what their motive is: to sell a product or service; or to do evil to us Christians?

From the kind of people I have seen I believe they are out to make money in the comfort of their easy chair!

Right now it's Mint. I also had Ubuntu awhile back. I like both.
